So 90% of these things can be summed up as: "It's super mysterious and it likes to eat people"
I do love how many of these are like "it's an incomprehensibly powerful being. It is so much greater than you that you cannot even perceive it without going mad. It's an otherworldly extradimensional god capable of squashing you like a bug without even noticing. It's hanging out in some cave in Texas."
The dedication of the making of this 8 and a half hour video is.... beyond human comprehension.
I love how among these nightmarish creatures there's just some big penguins that are there because apparently the Great Old Ones just like penguins
Anyone: "Hey HP Lovecraft, what's that thing over there?" HP Lovecraft: "Your weak mortal mind couldn't comprehend..."
Theres really a lack of long form Lovecraft content. Always love seeing new shit like this.
8 and a half hours, huh? Well lets go😅😎 Thank you for making this epic Video series😄 Hope you and everyone else reading this will have a fantastic day and not run into any eldrich abominations💜💜💜
spent 30 minutes zoneing out before realizing the video will never end
I have bipolar disorder. I have delusions and some mild paranoia. I once had a psychotic episode induced by a combination of medication and psychedelic drugs. I spent 10 hours having seizures, kicking, and screaming in the most horrific pain imaginable. I fought death for hours, saw faces. Drooled over. Kicked walls. Ran out of my house and screamed at people cause I was sure I did not exist anymore. I accepted death. I saw the abyss and I was swallowed. I waited for the end to come. And the hours kept passing. The real fear striked when, after what felt like hours of screaming and crying. I saw in a glimpse of lucidity that only 15minutes had passed. These creatures, the entire bestiary, seem to really come close to describing what completely losing your sanity feels like. The faces, the laughs, the beings whose intentions or origins are incomprehensible, the time stretching and becoming infinite inside of your eyes. The permanent feeling that you saw the truth. That one day we will all fall into that abyss. That you just saw reality for a day. Then I read Lovecraft's father died on a mental asylum. And everything made more sense. I have experienced total insanity for what felt like years. I recovered completely in 2 days. The emotional trauma follows me to this day. I cannot even begin to explain what I experienced. Full blown psychosis for 10 hours while on LSD and having seizures induced by heavy psychiatric medication is the closest to a real cthulu creature experience.
Learn all this Cthulhu lore while sleeping and wake up with new insanity points very awesome :shelterin:👍
Most of lovecraftian mythos really be like "Gostumphă, swallower of souls and taker of hope. No one can truly escape the clutches of him from beyond him realm..." then you get some that are like. "Albino Penguin.... kinda just made by some funny guys"
Stretching to get that 10 minute mark I see
This is the reason why I subscribe. 9 hour videos I can go through a whole entire good night's sleep and still not be fully done
Cthulhu for president 2024
Can we appreciate how bro never put a midroll add on an 8 hour 30 minute video.
3hrs in and it’s sounding like 90% of the lovecraft creatures have the same abilities
A basic writing rule says "show, don't tell". Well Lovecraft tells, but he tells really well he broke the rule. The way he uses exaggerated proses somehow just taps into the human imagination. It fits the nature of modern dread so well.
Yay! Now I have something new to watch while i recover from surgery!! I've already watched the "Ultimate Iceberg of the Unexplained, Bizzare, and Unsolved" and "The Backroom Entities Iceberg" multiple times. Thank you Maker for making recovery more bearable!
My partner: do you want to watch this popular 2 hour movie? Me: I don’t have the attention span for that Me five minutes later:
