@MeatMan-hl5wz

Stevie sounded just as good as she did with Fleetwood Mac in her solo care the music of yesterday must live on

@chromaticproducer

That "I need a little sympathy" part goes so hard. The groove is crazy.

@MultiPRINCEDJ

I love the story of how this song was written. Stevie was on her way to her honeymoon and heard Prince's "Little Red Corvette" on the radio and was immediately inspired to write this song. She detoured from her honeymoon to get into the recording studio and got Prince's number. They had never met. She called him and told him that she was working on a song inspired by his "Little Red Corvette" and that she was giving him 50% of the royalties for the song if it ever became successful. She asked him what he was doing right that moment and if he could come into the studio to play on the recording. He said yes and was there in 20 mins. He worked on it and played on it in the studio with Stevie and her crew for about an hour and a half, and this is the result. Pretty great stuff.

@Graldaddy

Just like that, as a favor for a friend, he composes one of the most memorable keyboards riff ever....

@justmyopinion2

Chills every time this song is played.

@jake97tx

Prince was a savant. How can any one person have that much talent

@DerekEdmonds-e8q

Facts 😊❤💯😎

@crstopherrussell6618

Prince is all over this song!

@jeffreybii

This is the best version of the song. The extra synths and the way you can hear everything sends it over the edge for me

@nickname7523

Anything Prince Or Rick James Produced became absolute Magic!

@alexandrecartier4895

What a keyboard track that is.
RIP Prince. You were a truly GREAT musician

@katcooper8616

Perfect collab! Prince is my all time favorite and Ms. Nick's is the 2nd. Their styles are unduplicatable and unmatched!

@DerekEdmonds-e8q

I just love you 😂❤❤❤❤❤❤ and your music 😊

@kensweeney8798

When synths stood out as an individual instrument. Absolute belter of a track.

@everettbingham9945

Stevie nicks has always been a favorite artist of mine ephraim

@briteboy6131

@4getitmn3

No one looked as I walked by
Just an invitation would have been just fine
Said no to him again and again
First, he took my heart, then he ran
No one knows how I feel
What I say, unless you read between my lines
One man walked away from me
First he took my hand
Take me home

Stand back, stand back
In the middle of my room, I did not hear from you
It's alright, it's alright
To be standing in a line (Standing in a line)
To be standing in a line
I would cry

La la la la la la la la la
La la
La la la la la

Do not turn away my friend
Like a willow, I can bend
No man calls my name
No man came
So, I walked on down, away from you
Maybe your attention was more than you could do
One man did not call
He asked me for my love, and that was all

Stand back, stand back
In the middle of my room, I did not hear from you
It's alright, it's alright
To be standing in a line (Standing in a line)
To be standing in a line
I would cry

La la la la la la la la la
La la
La la la la la la la
Doo-doo, doo-doo
La la la la la la la la la
La la la la
La la la la la, wo-ah

So, I walked, walked down the line, away from you
Maybe your attention was more than I could do
One man did not call
Well, he asked me for my love, that was all

Stand back, stand back
In the middle of my room, I did not hear from you
It's alright, it's alright
To be standing in a line (Standing in a line)
To be standing in a line
I would cry

@dukeghostguy

Man, when she sings "take me home" at the end it always gives me chills...

@peterfrank3365

By my taste, this one tops anything else Stevie has ever done. And Prince's synths are perfect.
