This days even a normal software engineer can release new android versions. They just need to tweak the Notification Centre and settings page, pick one or two features from other skins and rename it to android 16. Simple.

phone launched last year in dec like iqoo 12 has 3 os updates 14 in jan 15 in nov. 16 in next june and boom.... 60k phone lost its all os update in less than 1.5 year

6:07 Pixel 6 does not support 4 years of Android updates. (Only 3) Android 15 was supposed to be the last update. With that said, being a pixel 6 user I am glad that there is a possibility that it will get A16.

left android only for this reason, updates. the situation seems to be improving but they can't match apple's level of update. I am not a power user or customize my phone heavily, so iphone does my job as it should, yes it is ridicously priced for what it offers. but the seamless integration with mac, airpods, everything just works perfectly.
