Learned alot, as usual. Appreciate all the work that went into this video Henry ------ and, we know your advice and guidance is gold!
Now we are on the type of content we enjoy. Everyday is a school day ❤ Keep up the great work.
100% Love the content.
This is why a lot of people spoof / randomize their browser ID. Unfortunately, this also causes statistics sites to identify Linux computers as "unknown" or even as Windows. Which leads to Linux's market share showing up as lower than it really is.
Bro got me going down the privacy rabbit hole, god help me, staying private is so much work and frustration lol
yes, please: critical thinking on analyzing those results. As an example: 27 - Permissions accelerometer : denied camera : denied geolocation : denied background-sync : denied magnetometer : denied microphone : denied Having all these things denied makes me very unique. I am still not allowing any of those things.
Excellent overview ✌️
Pretty insightful. Thank you, buddy
they track the do not track option selection, infuriating 😡
techlore is soo back!!
love to see a tech lore video :D
I tested Cover Your Tracks with Chrome, Opera (both failed), and MS Edge (partially passed), and Brave Browser (passed with flying colors). Update: I installed the Privacy Badger plugin by EFF in Opera Browser as well as Google Chrome and re-run the test. Opera passed with flying colors, while Chrome partially passed (I have re-run the test for the second time and it passed).
Yay another video!
Firefox is using randomization according to cover your tracks.
What’s the effectiveness of using multiple browsers? Due to my work I end up using Firefox, Brave, Chrome and Safari. I don’t isolate my use so it’s all mixed up across the browsers, and I use the tools you mention as far as I can.
Loving the content Henry! One thing I'd like to point out is that around 24:30 you state that your IP address uniquely identifies you which is incorrect. The same IP address is shared with thousands of people using the same ISP in your general area. I think it's important to stay as factual as possible regarding this topic because this has long been a target of fearmongering campaigns by shady VPN companies, making people believe that their identity and precise location can be determined solely off of their IP address which is simply not true.
google follows me even when I visit the toilet.
Is this allowed under GDPR?
you are the most gorgeous guy on the internet, believe me when i say that, Henry. I seriously never knew how significant fingerprinting is - i only turned it on on my brave browser without knowing this complexity behind it. Thanks a lot for this educational video, my crush.
