In the arcade it was either Space Invaders, Asteroids or frogger. early 80βs arcades were the golden era. It was all new, and the noise when you walked in was such a thrill. Then when games like Tron and tempest came along it was even better.
Sonic 2 on the Mega Drive, would of been about 1998, great game completed it again recently.
I think it was Minestorm and/or Spike on the Vectrex at a friend's house.
Super Mario world on the SNES. Still play it now and then.
Same OG space invaders πππΊ
In the arcade it was space invaders and at home combat on the Atari 2600. Not sure which came first
Space Invaders here too. πΎ And yes, I fired it up on Arcade Games Online just a couple weeks ago. π
You're the same as me,table top version of space invaders was one of my first memories
Sonic the hedgehog when i was 3-4 yrs old and moonwalker. Sega was my childhood console. As i got older the ps1 was my favourite. I can't play sonic for love nor money but i always liked it! π
Punchy! On the ZX spectrum. Me and my brother got the spectrum for Christmas with punchy.
I remember playing the Parker Bros Frogger game for Atari VCS, a school mate had the game and system.
I think mine was Firefox by Grandstand, remember that OG? Donkey Kong Jr Game & Watch was also an early one as well π
Either Pole Position or Asteroids on the Atari 2600. Also played Pac Man and space invaders on this later on. Simple system, yet it had its moments.
Mine is tennis on my uncleβs Intellivision in the 80βs . Simple but loved it at the time . He gave me the console and Iβve been hooked on gaming ever since.
Icicle works on the commodore and Alex Kidd and ghost busters on the master system π
First game I ever played was "Granny's Garden" on the school BBC micro way back in the early 80s - but I don't really count that as a proper game... First proper game I played was during a visit to family friends in 1985 and I was about 8. I didn't have a clue what the computer was or the game at the time but years later I worked out it was a C64 and the game was Way of the Exploding Fist. All I can say is it blew my mind and from that moment forward I thought about little else and nagged my parents to get me a computer. Of course not knowing what I had played, I ended up with a Spectrum, which was great and all, but I think I always wished I'd had a C64 instead.
Like yourself, my memory of my first ever game is hazy at best. I think it would be on the Commodore 16, (yes, before the 64!) and the game was Treasure Island
Used to go in chippy 10 pence a go be gangs of kids playing in chip shop back in early 80s
I think my first game I played was Moon Cresta.
