I don't want to be mean, but I do feel it's appropriate to push back against normalizing up-talk and gratuitous vocal fry.
Maybe if I lived back home where my friends live. Now we're in Pittsburgh, there aren't really people here I would call "friends". I don't wanna mingle with people that have kids, I don't want kids in my house, other folk here are just too old and there is nothing to talk about aside from politics. We have cats that I don't want to stress, I hate shoes in my house. I have never suffered from loneliness, even when I was single. I had my 2 first cats and lots of voices in my head to keep me company.
Damn I agree. I have the space, I have th time-but I ain’t got friends for a party.
Bowling alone. Can't party because we don't have space or time. Gen alpha and millennials have been priced out of hedonism. There is a materialist cause for a decline in socializing. We can't choose to override hard determinants. This isn't a problem of culture, it's one of economics. Atlantic try to escape idealism and be a proper Marxist.
Difficult to party on a house you don't own in a state you do not want to live.
America doesn't need to party more. America needs to Think more.
