My favorite scene is probably 1:37 when Edgebun is getting licked by Han-Jae. He seems uncomfortable and looks as if he’s telling Han-Jae to stop. When Han-Jae starts crying, Edgebun instantly apologizes and lets him continue despite being uncomfortable. It definitely portrays Han-Jae as an experienced manipulator.
I love how you've portrayed the snake grooming the young rabbit, it's got a very sinister feel. They way you drew the snake getting him used to physical contact, being held, being too close, being restrained, being kissed, and then acting hurt when the rabbit didn't want it. Making the rabbit feel it was his decision as much as the predator's is very real and you drew this so amazingly well! I love this video
I kinda like that the description is the only thing that outright says what the snake is because once you know that, rewatching the video makes the signs pop out and you kinda wonder how you missed it but not knowing before hand makes it seem much more innocent, mimicking how real life tends to work out
I love how Hideo first enconters Han Jae and he is like [breathes in] DiSgUsTiNg
I don’t know who’s listening or who I’m talking to. Or who I would ever talk to about this. But this brings back such uncomfortable memories from my childhood. I was 12, and he was older. He was my Han Jae. Every single peak of interest in Han Jae that little rabbit displays is a perfect depiction of how it was. It’s abuse, yes, but as the abused, you feel enthralled by the abuser. It’s also the first time anyone ever showed major interest in me. Sitting in school and missing; daydreaming. The memories are palpable and not even all too sour. The fascination and interest a pedophile will show in you feels like romance when you are 12. It did to me, anyway. The physical affection, too. And then when it all came out to my parents... that little bunny showed my feelings perfectly. I didn’t even see Han Jae as the sicko he was; I saw him as my friend and my lover. I didn’t want him prosecuted or locked away. I never defended him to my parents, but I did in my heart. I feel so sick. This was so repressed I honestly haven’t thought about it in months or years. I don’t want to remember. Goddamn it all. Why do the little rabbits of the world have to be hunted by the snakes
I can't believe that as a kid, I thought the story was about a rabbit losing his snake friend cause of his overprotective mother. 😭😭😭😭😭
Note: people who think it's a cute relationship, read the description. It's not as innocent as you think it is.
before reading description: Aww After reading description: Oh No
Honestly this makes alot of sense. Alot of the time smaller children who are being messed with by a pedofile often have a strange interest in the pedo. They see it as genuine romance, and not a sick and twisted freak show. I honestly thought this was about a semi clingy but cute friendship but after reading the description I realised all the signs were there. I've had a bad experience like this and looking back this animation is super accurate when it comes to pedophilia, your art and animation is really good and super accurate. Everything about this is 10/10 and the pedo dying in the end is super earned, I'm just sad that the older brother had died as well
me: awe the snek just wanna be a mum! after reading desc me: chokes
It's even worse when you imagine them as a living people... It's giving me chills...
When I first watched this video, I thought it was about racial discrimination (black bunny n white snake), so I found this cute at a first sight, yes. But then, as the video went on (the rabbit going to school, his height, the detail of the schoolbag), it made me question more and more the real point of the animation, which I figured out at 1:33 or when the snake starts licking the bunny, which was obviously making him uncomfortable. I then rewatched it, and everything was more clear for me. Pedophilia is a subject that isn't very much discussed, and when it is, it's all about that "bad guy that kidnaps children in his dark house". Here, the bunny isn't physically trapped or anything like it (maybe the snake who wraps himself around him is a metaphor?), but is being manipulated, and feels that he is the one in control of the situation while he isn't at all. He is being emotionally manipulated, the snake making him feel culprit when he doesn't want his lickings. And that's worse. So, thank you for offering us this side of the subject, which such good written characters. This animation tells what isn't teached enough.
This is very emotional and well thought out I love dark themes explored through characters it really shows how much the snake was grooming that lil bun and how naive the lil bun was to what was happening Hideo was just trying to protect their sibling but he didn't understand what was wrong or that he was being groomed. The confusion and sadness at the end is so on point and heart wrenching, good job
A bunch of times the bun was uncomfortable or looked stress 0:29 You can see on the bun there was a bit or sweat (Showing the bun was nervious) 1:22 You could clearly see the bun a bit surprised when the snake wrapped around the bun a bit more. 1:30 You can see the bit of nervousness on bun's face when the snake first "Kissed/Nuzzled" him. 1:35 You can see the bunny gesturing at the snake to stop booping the bun's face but kept going, but then acted sad afterwards to manipulate the child to make the bun feel bad and let him continue. 1:48 You can see the bun was uncomfortable the whole time the bun was being licked but you can see that it looked like the bun was forced to let the snake.
when I was younger, I didn't realize how weird this was😭
When i saw this 3 years ago i was like: "Aww dude, why kill the snake, just bcuz they're different species it doesn't mean they can't be friends, the snek wasn't even trying to eat him." Then i found this channel again, and after seeing other videos, i finally came back and rewatched this one, but this time i was just like: "Bro, creppy pee pee man, you shall suffer u binch."
Honestly, I still think it’s really brave to make a story that touches such a delicate subject, and you did it very well. Congrats Tux!
The story behind this is sad but amazingly done. In the beginning, Edgybun and his older brother see Han jae, who is trying to grab the little bunny's attention. The older brother is uncomfortable and nudges his little brother away. Then, Han Jae looks as if he's planning something. Then, he lures the little bunny to his (home?) and the littlw bunny believes this snake is now his friend. He can't stop thinking about his new friend, he can't focus, sleep, etc. When he notices his brother is gone, he sneaks to visit his "friend." Then, Han Jae is getting a bit too close, and Edgybun feels uncomfortable. As you can see, when Han Jae is kissing the little bun, he asks him to stop and tries to dodge it. Han Jae manipulates him by fake crying, and recieves a kiss. Soon Brother bun finds them, and tries to end Han Jae and save his brother. Unfortunately, Edgybun was so attatched to the child predator that it took over his mind, and he didn't understand what Han Jae was. It tore him up inside until he changed, mentally and physically. Alone. Scared. Used.
I actually thought it was like a motherly relationship- I didn’t realize
