I originally saw Balatro and went "eh, not a big fan of card games." But then it picked it up during the fall sale and got hooked immediately. And then I bought it for my phone, because being away from my computer, unable to play Balatro, made me so anxious. I was legit going through Balatro withdrawal.

I first heard about Balatro from a buddy at work at the beginning of last summer. His exact words were “This game will ruin your life.” I laughed him off and told him I’d look into it sometime. A couple months later on a day off I saw it in the Apple Arcade and downloaded it. Back to work two days later I walked to his desk and said. “You were right. I have no space in my brain for anything that isn’t Balatro .” And he nodded knowingly at me. 🤣🤣🤣

I liked Balatro but having it on phones was really the thing that made me understand it. It’s a fun game at its core but being able to instantly dip in and out of it truly unlocks its greatness. You can easily play for 3 minutes or two hours.

dude i got balatro on mobile and i literally played only balatro for 3 days straight, no other games, just balatro, i heard it was addicting but i didn't believe it, it's SO addictive

My friends talked about it for 3 months. I bought it for my new phone. I put down my PC games to play it for five days straight. And when I was done, I got it for my Steam Deck and gave it to my mum. She was hooked within minutes. Balatro is THE SECOND COMING OF SOLITAIRE.

Indie game gotta have the most intriguing and complicated mechanics ever made, and that's what makes hardcore gamers addicted to it, they wants to conquer it and be able to fully understand the game

Never played it, but heard incredible things about it. From what I've heard, the creator also said they will not be allowing slot machine companies to make machines based on the game, because of the danges that can come with gambling. So baller move on their part
