Important Note! In some cars you have to unhook the battery in order for the car to reset. I cleaned my throttle plate and maf sensor and my 03 Camry had a high idle that wouldn't go away by restarting the car. I also had a check engine light. Once I unhooked the battery and put the cable back on it, everything worked smoothly and the check engine light went away. Scotty is the best!!

I really like Scotty. He's a little quirky and eccentric, but overall very likable. But most importantly, he puts out great information in his videos. I also like that his videos are short, concise, and to the point.

My tip: do not use the red plastic straw when you clean your throttle body. The reason is some times they fly off when spraying and it will shoot right inside of your throttle body/engine. For this application, there is no need for it, so leave it off.

@CastorenaJ1125

I can’t believe the dealership wanted to charge my mom some $300 to do this work! Thanks, Scott!

@maxmaldonado69

Never thought I’d be able to work on cars until I found this channel it’s shown me a lot! Thanks Scotty

@BigPaco213

Chrisfix and Scotty hav some of the best car videos on YouTube!!!!

@Iheartcatz

You have made me my own Mechanic. Thank you Mr. Kilmer!

@2011zurich

As a Brit, this is a bit brash and American... but I love it! Love the enthusiasm and the clearness of your explanations, without dumbness. Thank you Scotty!

@sasukesuite1

My 2020 Corolla would rough idle with the A/C on. Did this tutorial and now it runs smooth as butter even with the A/C on. You are a life saver Scotty.

@JT-lw1oh

I swear this video was one of the only ones on throttle body cleaning for Toyota ,here 5yrs ago. After watching this when I was younger it convinced me to do it myself. It was the best thing I could’ve done for my car! Now i make sure to clean both maf and throttle every 30-50k miles. Makes a world of a difference. Thanks Scott for passing on this knowledge.

@JoseRamirez-yh2ll

Neighbors must really be getting tired of Scotty peeling out in the neighborhood for every video Lol

@davidchapmanofficial

This video literally just saved me well over $100 at the Toyota dealership... Went in for a $50 oil change/winterization package, they wanted me to get almost $500 worth of work done!

@joem1767

I've used both of these products in the past. I'm a big fan of the MAF sensor cleaner. It significantly smoothed out the idle and increased MPGs by 1-2 mpg on my 2004 Camry 2AZ-FE.

@frankfoti

I dont work on cars,, i know nothing about cars, besides the basics- but for some reason i love watching this guys videos. and i learn something new everyday. Nice Vids Mr Kilmer, been subscribed for months and seen dozens of your vids.

@jimmycopeland6045

4 years later and scotty is still helping people like me 👍🏽

@bikemaurice1953

Even in the 90s, I was still spraying and scrubbing carburators :-)

@stf2400

Also works great if your vehicle has a hard time starting, no matter if hot or cold. (Clean it when it's cold) as my Saturn would start great when it was cold, but once warmed up, you had to hit the gas some to keep it running. Cleaned the throttle and no more starting issues. It was almost black from all the gunk on it, so took an entire can of cleaner to get it cleaned. Just something I'd pass along, as who knows who else is having that issue.

@BukitMan

These two cleaning have been performed by me, on customers cars for year. And if has fixed all sorts of idling issues and drivability concerns. Keep up the good info Scotty!

@DGKALLDAY247

I cleaned my MAF sensor and throttle body on my charger and my girls Chevy impala (endless money pit) after watching this video, watch your videos all the time Scotty your the man!!
