Just hearing the shrine music at the start of the video made me want to boot up BotW! Thanks for continually making me smarter!
man, all the shrines in the champion's ballad are really well designed, but especially this one, they're all really clever and fun in their own way. there are some bad shrines in the main game, but the champion's ballad is just all fun.
Ridiculously late response but I think I ended up making 5 campfires on all 3 blocks stacked and used the updraft created
I tried for so long and ended up doing it the magnesis-stasis-cryonis way you mention at 1:35 and then when I watched videos about it I just got mad that I did it such a hard way. Great vid
Hoh boy I really hope they include more of these in the sequel
Really nicely made video! I'm just playing through the DLC now and ended up solving this by simply dragging one of the blocks to the front of the room, using Stasis, and wacking the hell out of it before climbing on top. Launched me right to the bonus chest platform, easy paraglide from there to the exit!
Stuff like this really makes me want a shrine creator in the sequel I just had your most recent video recommended to me and I really enjoyed it, so I look forward to binging your channel later.
Man I used to play the DLC every day and that shrine really got me thinking. It really forces you to sort of go out of the normal controls and put a lot of thought into it. Great shrine design
I can’t for the life of me remember how i beat that dungeon the first time, i even booted the game up in the hope that visiting the place would rekindle some memories but... nothing. I get the feeling however that I blazed through it so... im gessing here Stasis + arrow bombs.
This not just with doc shrines. Most of shrines in game are like that. I remember 'pushing power' shrine which give you target but you had to find your path to get their. Similarly with 'shift and lock' shrine where you can try many different ways to stop that block or directly using block to get inside of monk's room.
I remember this shrine. That was quite the tricky puzzle. I'm not sure how exactly I solved it in the end but it may have been a rather weird way. In any way, it was quite the achievement when I reached the end. Your videos have a really high quality. I wish you to get the following that you deserve soon! You can count me in your list of subscribers :) ...oh! Shooting the box upwards while in stasis! That's clever.
This. I love when games let you create your own solution.
Hey Daryl, I think you’re pretty wise with video game design, so I was wondering if you could explore strategy game design and make a video about it or even just tell me in a comment. I’m trying to make a strategy game but it’s turning out to be much more difficult to create than I thought. Thanks in advance, friend :)
My two favourite ways of solving puzzles are task failed successfully/brute force, and the all mighty C H E E S E tactics
Found this video a little while back and refused to watch it till I found this shrine. I'm glad that I found my solution fairly quickly, but there were so many easier/more creative solutions than my own. It was a well-made level.
Oh dang I need to watch this!
O shit lmao I did NOT solve it that way. I just fcked up the physics lmao
Its only watching this video that i realise that launching myself off the third block is not the correct way to beat this trial
Oh I just put the boxes on an angle and found a way to jump on it. And kept going till I got to the top, I won't lie I just have decent mechanics so I didn't even think of another solution.
