This was an interestng chat to listen to. I agree with you both but, I personally will not deploy on Friday (yes, I stand with team Praise 😉 I'm so sorry to let you down Idowu 💔). In my experience, sometimes the issues that arise might be unrelated to the deployment workflow and corely related to something within the application/service (vendor softwares not excluded). These are the kinds that don't get caught by QA or the Dev team(s) and this will be known when customers start using the service on a Monday morning 🫠and if it surfaces before Monday, both on-call and other senior+ engineers not on-call will be pulled into the triage call. Post deployment routine would really help solve some of these for sure if the post-deployment routine is very rigid.
