This video is probably the best summary of why dynamic pricing is not only OK but highlights that we have been doing dynamic pricing for decades. And its good. For some reason dynamic pricing has been vilified as "bad" and therefore should be stopped while the people making such claims simply don't recognize that traditional dynamic pricing is how things have always been done. And for good reason. The newness of dynamic pricing today is due to the involvement of technology. The practice isn't new, just how it's done is new. Clark emphasises this as well. Brilliant video. Another change is that many industries that may not have employed dynamic pricing do so now thanks to technology. The increased utilization of dynamic pricing has taken many by surprise and I love Clark's explanation that this is a good thing if done correctly. It makes things cheaper not more expensive. Clark for president!! It isn't too late to run Clark lol.

I hear you on early bird specials. Wait till they use each person’s individual income data to set prices higher for some. They’ll have a base price then go up from there. Alternatively, I’d like to see half orders in restaurants.

This is crazy prices are already high. This will do nothing more than shift business to non dynamic price times when fewer staff is unavailable.

Dynamic pricing will happen because people want to charge more or less based on the buyer’s race, gender, and sexual orientation. Fits right in with the equity movement.

Dynamic pricing is good for people running a business so they can make more money, but it is not good for the consumer because they can get priced out. Personally I don’t buy anything that’s priced by dynamic pricing, you’re just getting ripped off. But that’s how capitalism works, price it at what the market is willing to pay. It’s all about money.
