I found Karen Reed to be an intelligent, well put together, woman. I like that she feels that she is a legitimate part of her defense team. It would be interesting to know if our attorneys feel the same way or not. Karen Reid’s answer, to the question of what proves her innocence, was an excellent one. This is exactly what I would have said. Oh, body did not appear you have been struck by a moving vehicle. I think this is very clear evidence that he was not hit by a vehicle. No wounds or bruises below the neck. I have absolutely no idea what actually happened to O’Keeffe, but I feel pretty sure that he was not hit by a vehicle, as claimed by law enforcement, and the prosecution. I was once a paramedic, I can tell you that people hit by cars breed, and often have internal injuries. John O’Keeffe had none of these. He died because he had been hit on the back of his head, not from internal injuries caused by being hit by a vehicle. I no expert, but it seems clear to me that something is just not right about this case. The other judge, Bev, is obviously biased, and has created a clever little scheme to help the prosecution along. Just watch how she handles the objections. She even Reminds the prosecution that they should object when certain questions or ask. And what can we say about the bits and pieces of video that have been released? What can we say about the inverted video? There are so many questions. So many.
I appreciate how honest she was in regard to her relationship with John. She could’ve easily buttered that up but she didn’t and that only helps her.
But the Feds DO know she didn’t do it. The people THEY hired said he wasn’t hit by a car.
She also talked about the Federal Investigation. If Hank wants to use portion of this interview, the door will be opened and the Jury will have to know about the Feds. I think this interview was a strategic move.
Keep reviewing these interviews Peter. It all helps us understand how the justice system works. Use to think all defense attornies were scum. I now understand the need for a proper defense.
Yes, I definitely want you to continue to cover this, Peter. Thank you!
Peter, PLEASE continue with more of the Karen Read interview clips. Much appreciated 🙏🏼🌸
If the prosecution needs to twist interview statements to convict , it shows that after 3 years they don't have any real evidence.
I take these interviews as her not believing she'll get a fair trial in the judicial system so she's bringing it to the public
Lally would drive me nuts on the stand. By the time he finished a question I'd forget what, if anything, he'd asked.
I'd be terrified to live there knowing me or my family could run afowl of even one of these officials and get charges and rushed through that court with no protections. What a load of work to go through all the cases they blazed through that didn't have this scrutiny at all.
I’m all for her giving interviews. I would be doing same thing. Shouting from rooftops also! If CW was rail roaring from beginning and gave her fair trial maybe she would feel comfortable taking the stand. All the BS they have pulled and judge not allowing have evidence come in. KR do you’re thang girl.
Hi Peter. I'm 64 years old. In my younger days I believed that openness & honesty would always win over the worst of my detractors. I've learned since that if someone doesn't want to like or appreciate you, everything you say or do will simply add to their conviction that they're right! Similarly if someone does appreciate you - although the information is the same. I have huge respect for this courageous woman, but I agree with you on the value of this interview. I'm not sure how it would persuade or dissuade anyone. I'm not sure who it's intended to reach. I also think it's a risk that leaves me nervous just watching it because I'm aware how others might scrutinise it. That said, I wish only the best for this brave, intelligent & open hearted young woman 🎉
IMO… she is right in saying that something went really really wrong in the investigation of this case from the beginning. For me, reasonable doubt is all over this case.
I think her lawyers know exactly what they’re doing.
Peter I need to know if you are going to follow the Sandra Birchmore case as it goes to trial, I am very interested to see how botched Trooper Proctors investigation was in this one also
Judge B. Cannone has to realise that we SEE her. Bev, whatever they have on you, the ramifications of/fromthis case are much worse!
Karen Read is an innocent woman! Justice for John O'Keefe
So you said the prosecutors can't go on TV and call her guilty, so why did the DA Morrissey do that?!
