Hello Kevin! Thank you for the video. I am from Russia and understand everything as you tell and show. It seems to me that American developers and video bloggers are rather interesting and qualitative in telling what the Russians are.

@lorenamora1354

Hi Kevin, Thank you for the video. I think its great and extremely helpful that you produce content that expalins the steps on changing variables. My question is regarding the modals in Bootstrap, if I want to make a change in the size of the modal do I create a new modal scss file? The current sizes do not help me as I am inserting an iframe. Thanks again.

Hi Kevin, Thanks for your videos, i really learned a lot. I just have 2 questions though. First, should I use now the npm to install the bootstrap since bower has been deprecated? Second, whats the alternative for _custom.scss since its been removed with the new release of bootstrap. Hope to hear from you soon.

@MaxWeir

In the latest version, the custom file is no longer there, can I still customise things and how would I do it no that its removed?

@alijahangiri1644

over right doesn't cost any issues?like performance and ect

Hi Kevin, thanks for the bootstrap video series. I just started watching it today and went up to # 04. But thought I wanna clear out some doubts on video 2. It is the parts where you explain about node js, npm and bower. I always find it daunting whenever I have to work integrating multiple software . do we only access bower or use it only through our code editor as you did in the video? is that the purpose of bower? Another issue is I am not sure what was the purpose of prepros? If you could explain that a bit that would be great.

Also, I am somewhat confused about trimming down bootstrap file part. (maybe because I have to brush up my sass.) do we only upload the customized bootstrap file at the end with main css file? sorry too many questions. But apart from these I learnt a lot so far from your videos and It s great that you talked about all the stuff including bower, nodejs, customizing bootstrap etc so that I got to know where are my weak points.

@joebyragpa3080

I wonder if there is a video that could explain how to customize and choose JS components.

@ricardos295

Hi kevin, thank for you content, but i have a question, so in the new bootstrap 4, bootstrap says that in the custom.scss we can chose to do (@import "node_modules/bootstrap/scss/bootstrap";) or that we can chose which part we want, but if we dont call the (@import "node_modules/bootstrap/scss/bootstrap";) and chose only the parts, the bootstrap actually dont work, i think something in the wiki is not very explained :o

@erikairola4464

Nice Video. Unfortunately Bower is deprecated. Hope it helps people from using it as said in this video playlist.

Oh man... I'm trying for like TWO days to setup a proper Bootstrap-SASS workflow and I cannot do it. It seems that things are different now after couple of new versions and who knows what. There is no custom.scss when I install bootstrap, so there surely is something else that I'm missing.

Can you help? Is your Workflow still the same? Thanks Kevin.

@hond4169

what's the code in main.css?

@jojo_Ca

What happened to the link that included the actual index file?

@marwafadhel4693

u r amazing
i have a question, from where i get Customizing Variables?

@shameekagarwal4872

i am trying to do this series to integrate with react...here is what i did

1. npm i bootstrap
2. npm i node-sass@4.14.1
3. my src directory has a file bootstrap.theme.scss with these variables that kevin sir says..
4. at the bottom of the file i do "@import bootstrap/scss/bootstrap";
5. index.js has "import ./bootstrap.theme.scss";

by this we can only get css to get js, i did
6. index.js has "import bootstrap"
7. i went to node_modules/bootstrap/
8. run npm i (this helps in getting popperjs and jquery i believe)

is there anything i am not doing correct? (it works, just want to confirm)
