CRIP (community resistance in progress)
It's interesting because there is a brazilian gang here in Rio that also started as a form of resistence. Comando Vermelho was founded by people who had been arrested (political prisioners and common prisioners) and were fighting for the betterment of prisons and, obv, fought against police brutality - CV started in the 70's so it was during the military dictatorship in Brazil...so the torture and violence were the default back then and people could get arrested for everything and anything. It "evolved" to a criminal organization over time, and it controls most of Rio's favelas.
Boi they made pac look like diddy smh๐๐๐
Nope, they originally called themselves the cribs because they were very young gang members, then changed it to the crips (short for cripples), because a lot of them used canes as a status symbol when they were out and about.
Tupac wasn't a blood
Correction: CRIP stood for Community Revolution in Progress
The Army use to call young Black Men Bloods in Vietnam.
I thought it was โCommunity Resistance In Progressโ meaning to agitate the Police from even thinking of mess with them.
It's community resistance in progress
That's terrible I hate when people give totally bogus wrong information
