Me and my brother started a survival will coordinates off. He hates it, I love it. Anytime we played in the past he has coordinates and keep inventory on and “finishes” the game in less then a week. (3-10 hours) now he can’t rush it so he spends more time actually building his base and getting good loot and farming. More enjoyable to me it’s like how everyone’s used to play back in the day.

actually it doesn't matter if you use sunflowers, well basically they are just scattered everywhere, the fortress. but you are right about going north and east

Speedrunner way is way better. With the shift F3 screen you a graph appears and you can make it show if there are any spawners in your render distance. By increasing the render distance until you find a spawner. Reset the graph with render distance 1 lower. Do F3 G and go outside the chunk in 4 different directions until the spawner appears on the graph and you know exactly how far away a fortress is.

My worlds nether is a complete nightmare, I spawned in a basalt delta, it’s easily the most hostile the nether has ever been in any of my worlds and I couldn’t find a fortress for the life of me it’s literally cursed, hopefully I’m not part of that 20% lol
