There are countless leather factories in Spain, Italy, Romania, and other countries that specialize in assembly and craftsmanship. Who do you think they work for, then? If this were true, producing in China would actually cost more — due to taxes, logistics, and import/export complications. Most luxury-grade leathers are sourced in Europe, so that would mean shipping raw materials to China, paying import taxes, producing the item, conducting quality checks locally, and then re-importing the product to Europe just to add a logo. That’s an expensive and inefficient process. This scenario only makes sense if the products are sold within China. But if they’re shipped back to Europe or the U.S., it becomes costly and defeats the purpose. Let’s be honest: a lot of these claims are just clever marketing spins coming from Chinese sources. Yes, luxury margins are high, but true luxury brands are not made in China — unless you're including brands like Michael Kors (which most don’t classify as true luxury). At the end of the day, what you'll get from China is usually a cheap copy. And if you're trying to find a "great replica," it often ends up costing almost as much — for something that's still not the real thing. Sorry when it is too good to be true, it means not true !
