I can't believe you are not using bots to build all this, straight up rawdogged an absolute unit of a base you're a mad lad
Easily one of the best content creator for Factorio. Dreadfully underrated. Thankyou for your time Sir, I look forward to the rest of the series.
I have to compliment your elegant layout. It's impressive to see such a clean, precision style right from the start of a base build. Thankyou for posting.
"I'm a little bit outside of my comfort zone" I think that should be the tag line for Space Age. It makes you deal with new problems and your old solutions don't work anymore. Good on you for restarting, looking forward to the improvements you make. (:
I rarely if ever comment on youtube videos. I can really hear the dissapoinment at not being able to get the 'Perfect' timelapse, from a viewer perspective i did not even notice the frame loss tbh. Keep up the work, you seem so sincere and echoed the very same anxieties i had on my first playthrough. It really is a brand new game.
About 26:40. I can't describe how satisfying that looks, to see all of those belts filled. Myself, I hardly plan my factory ahead of time, and I can never get things looking quite so organized. Nice work!
You can now horizontally and vertically flip the oil refinery and chemical plant, which allows you to put inputs of the same type right next to eachother. Not sure if you're aware, just wanted to point it out since this allows for more interesting and elegant designs. Loving the series, especially the timelapses!
Good to see you back with another shot. Alternative takes on Factorio design are always a must see.
God damn i love your design style. Ur capable to design things that universally look always the same for most people to look great and still be perfectly functional and hats off to you for that. Im looking forward to your next videos!
My OCD is happy man. Great too see ya have a go at this again. 10/10 will follow
you are an absolute master of that timelapse camera. holy crow.
As someone who is trying to build something heavily inspired by this but based more on trains than belts, before leaving Nauvis, there is just so much stuff you have to acount for, if you never done stuff like this before, it doesnt help that im alergic to doing all the math that i should be doing before that. I cant imagine how long you have spent actually developing all the systems for your building style. So whatever i end up with will atleast look nice. I always started to build bigger bases but sooner or later lost interest because i like to be researching while doing stuff and by the time i figured what i want to do i had researched everything and didnt have the motivation to continue, but with space age there is still so much to look forward to. I could have left Nauvis 40h ago but im still having fun there.
Love the time lapse stuff cause seeing the base develop before your eyes is awesome instead of jump cuts
I am addicted to the way you design factories
I love the base blocks parts you build, looks so cool!
Love your style! MechArmor also saves you from your trains :)
Love the weaving effect with the inserters in the starting smelting columns!!! One thing I've noticed in my games, the bigger the starting area, the further away the first resource patches (outside of the initial ones) are too.
Love the base design I feel like some Youtubers go really hard on making efficient bases and they always just look kinda ehh but I always love seeing bases that are well-designed and aesthetically pleasing
I love the stage when you’re playing and then the second part of the game starts playing map view and bots. The new planets have made it 5 loops of back to square one
