Definitely not a "dumb tech rant". Tech rant, yes. A couple years ago I got sick of this shit too and deleted all the social media accounts I could. Unfortunately my clubs still use Facebook to post updates and schedule events, so unless I want to be a hermit, I'm stuck there. But I don't "doom scroll" anymore. If I'm posting something like a thought or a photo, it's random, stupid and purposefully designed to fuck with the algorithm. I'm not a "tech-fearing boomer" or anything. I've been on the internet since the 90s (remember ICQ?). I'm all for awesome tech, but we have to draw the line somewhere before we end up in a Snow Crash.
