@levilawliett2569

This robot expressed more emotions in 21 secs than Mark Zuckerberg ever in his entire life.

@egor.okhterov

What really distinguishes this robot from others: fast eyeball movement. They move fast, fluid and without robotic sound.

@FreeeKurdistan

This is scary and fascinating at the same time

@zarkflappysheep

Got just a tad scared when it raised its hand to his arm. Thought it was just gonna snap it.

@ultimateloser3411

A few years later:
"I did not murder him!"
"28 stab wounds..."
"I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that"

@JJs_playground

If we have ameca's facial expressions, with Boston dynamic's Atlas' mobility capabilities and connected to GPT-3, we would have the closest thing to an autonomous human like robot.

Edit: to all the people asking why we should do this? Because it will improve our lives immensely. Everything from dangerous work, to manual labour to boring tasks will be handled by these robots. Imagine a future where these robots work in nuclear power plants, or help assist the elderly, or go get your groceries and do your housework.

@Nicknir

detroid become human feels

@o.m.b.demolitionenterprise5398

This thing is actually so realistic it escapes the uncanny valley.

@ryo-kai8587

The whole thing is amazing, including the eyes with their rapid, surprisingly natural movement.
What really sold it though was the subtle slinking away from the finger at 0:06. That motion is so instinctual, so organic and so well reproduced that it "works" on an emotional level.

@thesmithsonian2579

its uncanny how far robotics has progressed in such a small amount of time

@astrocosma

Love how Ameca reacts like a cat when you’re about to boop their nose

@chatita9527

This is soooooo ... awesome! I would love to meet this robot. They will be such help for people who need assistance, old or infirm people. ♥️

@robonxt

As someone who followed the tech for a while, I'm impressed at the fluidness of the movements! Looking forward to see it walk soon!

@wardy6224

Love that they havent gone with a skin tone, it usually makes these sort of robots more creepy, grey is a good choice 👍🏻

@puppy14

That quick eye movement in the last second gives me chills. This thing is gonna murder me one day while I try to order waffle fries from it.

@melodyhuxley234

She's so cute!! I would love to have robots like her someday in the future

@LozzieDozzle

The realism in the subtle movements is absolutely incredible. I'm mesmerised

@Faesharlyn

The facial servos are perfect. Realistic enough to communicate with but not uncanny valley creepy. I love the choice of skin tone as well, that and the open torso make it look like exactly what it is. Beautiful work.

@Fi_Sci_

Ameca’s eye movements are intriguing and give off a very human feeling. Especially at the start with the focus and then backing away from the hand. Then expressing curiosity by grabbing the hand afterwards.

@zorlord7507

I know this is scary, but I love this and I want more.
