Alex was a good man and he had a criminal record, yes, but he was not a bad person and not a violent person. He was a great friend and family member. He struggled with addiction and wasn't really able to cope with having to go back to prison, so he made a terrible decision, but ultimately, the one he wanted to make. I promise you that if that gun was not malfunctioning, he still wouldn't have shot that cop BUT he would have forced the same result. It's unfortunate that this officer chose to fire a second round, i believe he could have detained Alex after hitting him the first time... BUT i would have responded the same. I hope everyone who's involved in this situation finds peace.
