I watched this tutorial before an interview and I was able to discuss my Excel skills and got the job. Now I use Excel in my role daily and those tips and tricks have helped me. Thank you so much Debs, this is by far the best tutorial on Excel I have seen on YouTube.
The US version of BODMAS is PEMDAS which stands for P: Parenthesis E: Exponents M: Multiplication D: Division A: Addition S: Subtraction multiplication and division are calculated depending on which comes first when reading an equation from the left, and then the same for addition and subtraction. Hope this helps anyone from the US who didn't know what the instructor was talking about with BODMAS or PIDMAS
What can I say? This is by far the most well laid Excel Masterclass on YouTube. Kudos to @SimonSez and Deb, I've really learnt a lot from you!
I lied in my resume about being awesome with excel. I got the job and now I have 2 weeks to learn everything about excel. At least I got the job though.

I can't stop watching this video. it's very Educative and powerful presentation I have ever watched or seen. The step by step tutorial can help a beginner to learn excel without any instructor. Thanks to all the team for putting such pieces together.
All we need is classes and tutorials like this and give a public exam. Universities are redundant, just made to rob people money in the name of education and leaving students in huge debts , popularly known as student loans. Of course politicians are not going to do anything because they get a share of the money somehow. Unless people challenge the status quo this robbing will continue. After taking this kind of money many professors are not even willing to teach properly. Just gives assignment, no where to turn to when you are faced with a doubt. Most students depend on You Tube to get the knowledge. Then what is the need for Universities!!!!!!!
I dreaded excel, and it took me years to even think of sitting down for a tutorial. After many of them, I bumped into this tutorial. I returned after a month and I now realise what a treasure this is. I am watching it repeatedly and applying it when I sit on the PC. Its like I am such a fast learner all of a sudden😂. I am surprised that Macros are the easiest thing I grasped. Mind you, I have been trying to master SQL server for years, and I am now thinking I should have started with this tutorial instead. Thank you so much team and Deb. You have reignited my career.❤
Just finished this entire video. By far one of the best excel video tutorials out there. Great job guys. Especially you, Deb!
Today is my first day learning on your channel but I am so impressed with your teaching. All I have to say to you is that your instructions about Excel is totally awesome and impressive. Kindly continue to bring up more programs like this. There are many who are willing to learn but the tuition and fees for learning is not available. Your program has inspired me a lot. I am hoping to learning more from you. Your channel from today going forward, will be my best friend.
Great course, even better tutor. Big thanks to the whole Simon Sez IT team. Definitely recommend. 10/10. God bless!
What an extremely helpful video. Learned more in 40 minutes of your tutorial than I have from complete books.
Thank you for a great tutorial, only 1 hour in and already improving my knowledge so much.
I want to take a moment to thank you for the effort, you have chosen to teach us very beneficial skills for free! Thank you so much! I wish you all the best in your life!
Huge thanks for providing such an amazing resource!
My goal is to learn data analytics because it’s a valuable skill for my job. Since I’m not in a position to pay for a class right now, I decided to start by learning Excel through free resources like this video. I’m currently about an hour in, as I’ve committed to dedicating 30 minutes to an hour each day until I finish the video. Thank you so much for sharing this content freely! In just one hour, I’ve already learned so much about Excel that I didn’t know before. I truly appreciate you for making this knowledge accessible to people like me who want to learn without spending hundreds of dollars on a class.
Best way of teaching excel from scratch. Helped me a lot as I wasn't familiar with many functions. Thank you Simon Sez and Deb for your time it was super helpful☺
I would recommend this course to everyone who wants to learn from scratch to advanced, amazing course which I found on youtube.
I've been trying to learn Excel for the last 3 years but have struggled to both engage and wrap my head around it. Not to mention retaining what I've learned. I've gone through a lot of videos online, then saw this one appear and thought "5 hours? I could never" so I avoided it. Of course, I understand that all the other trainings I've attempted probably add up to around the same time, but seeing a 5 hour video is intimidating. However, it's not the length of time that's the issue. It's the delivery mechanism, and honestly, I'm only 30 minutes into this video and I don't feel like a fool for the first time in my attempts to learn to properly use Excel. The structure simply teaches you something in 30 seconds, reaffirms it, and moves on. And what's better is everything I learned in the first few minutes are used and reused, so I ended up learning it and actually storing it in my brain, so when I needed it again, I used it almost without thinking about it. For some reason my brain just remembers where I would have been stuck before. Yes, I'm only 30 minutes in, but if those 30 minutes are anything to go by, Excel would make sense to so many people if they simply gave this intimidating 5 hour video a real chance. Considerations: Do not try to watch this video in the almost 6 hours that it is. Break it up. Take breaks. Let your mind rest. You'll get there if you keep coming back. Have a 2nd screen (NOT YOUR MOBILE) to hand. That way you can watch the video and work on the Excel sheets without having to switch. Anyway, Thank you so much to the Simon Sez IT team. Time for me to get back to it.
