When you were trying to figure out whether the system is consistent, it seems like it was circular reasoning, as you solved for values a, b, and c by equating the entries, and then you replugged in the values that you solved using the same matrix that was used to solve for the values of a, b, and c. It is going to come out as "consistent" every single time because you are just solving and then going backwards (unsolving) every time; of course you are going to get the same matrix in the end. That doesn't make sense to me.

Don't just memorize. Try to understand what you're doing. Future concepts will be much harder if you just memorize
