One of the best, clearest and simplest explanations I have ever seen on Big Data! This is simply gold stuff. One doubt, at the time of increasing or decreasing the split size to change the mapper count, will how will the mapper will read the data from separate node? Is this called as data shuffling?

For the Scheduler Part , it is the responsibility of the YARN that takes care of it, either FIFO,Capacity or Fair Scheduler.
