I needed this info so much. I wish everyone could hear this message. I've always heard I need to tell myself "it's ok, it's not that bad. Stop stressing yourself out." It never helped, and I always thought there was something wrong with me. I'm in a bullying situation, and it's bad. I'm a wreck. I have been verbally attacked, harrassed, and threatened. My therapist told me that if my cat isn't reacting I shouldn't either. I don't see her anymore but the lack of validation from everyone is just multiplying my PTSD. Thank you so much for this very valuable information. ๐งก
Thank you for talking about anxiety! My anxiety has gotten worse since my brother died a few months so I am looking for videos to help me. Thanks again!
It means so much to hear this, thank you!!! ๐
This is SO true. To validate our anxiety โค. And then it shrinks!
Yes, I have definitely found that acknowkedging any emotion is a key step in deciding the best way to respond. Just recognizing that something is an emotion rather than "the truth" lets me show up for my own experience, with all the tools I have at my disposal. Appreciate the reminder about this point.
Thanks doc! Was on the point of thinking that the back of my head will explode trying to do something on my laptop. On listening to you immediately switched it off and told myself โ u r not ready to deal with this. And accepted that. The stress ebbed. Thank u
Pushing it away makes it worse, so it makes sense that validating anxiety is better
You're a SUPER STAR ๐๐๐๐๐. Lost my son. Having a severely bad day. I always blame my son for being pathetic.
Very Interesting. Thanks for this information!
Your video is very helpful, as always!๐
Thank you Dr Scott terrific knowledge and so true.
Wow so useful information!
Thank you โค
And it often comes about from our parents doing that bullshit. Narc mom is my situation, depression and anxiety all my life until I figured that one out.

Should we do the same thing with OCD?
