I work in the service industry north of Dallas, business was booming from pre Covid and post Covid u til about 2023 mid year. Yes we are still busy. But it’s cut throat for the jobs and people are not tipping heavy like they used to do.

@lynwill9946

This is what folks voted for. They believed a man with 34 felonies and six bankruptcies was the answer to their life.

@oscarm8265

I been in the trucking industry for 22 years got laid off from a $ 37 per hour job took me 6 months to find a job in a warehouse at $ 18 per hour.

@echoman1975

I believe alot of this has to do with AI development. They have already said white collar jobs will be decimated by 2027, and it's starting now

@MysticAngel3224

Lately, I started reading John Perkins' book "Confessions of an Economic Hitman", and in this book, he talks about how the economic indicators (GDP, GNP, etc.) are skwered to account only for the better-off individuals and corporations and not so much the poor and working class. This is why so many people say "we are in a recession", but corporations and economists have not called a recession. The economy has not worked for the masses for many, many years.

@IndependentManInTheHills

Just landed my new white collar, tech job. It took me seven months. SEVEN months. This feels worse than Covid.

@CarMaintenanceGuy

Lots of truth here. We are eating at home at record levels now. Eating out has gotten way too expensive.

@vitalsigns6403

Interest rates are not high at all historically. Inflation is insanely high. Home prices, food, electricity, dining out, tuition….we need lower prices not lower rates!

@novosakharchenko5238

I`m from Germany. My friend recently has got a little job in a small industry business. And I could exceed my work in something like retail business. But both are small jobs with earnings less than 1000 US Dollar monthly. These small businesses offer nice workplaces with fun: Work-life balance is the future. Consumer world is over.

@OptometristDoctorLout

Great video, as always, Rico. Just got back from vacation. Rented an AirBnB and even while on vacation, we’re budget conscious. We splurge a wee but more like getting costco pizza and what not but for the most part, we pre-plan our food from home and eat at the rental and bring almost everything we need. We didn’t eat at any restaurants. It’s just too expensive at this point. Like I said, the most we did was order pizza at Costco and get a few slushees when we stopped for gas at BucEes

@djdigital3806

I’m a Unemployed Las Vegas Slot Machine 🎰 Technician and Cook 🧑‍🍳

@kjerome4533

I went to Popeyes here in Chicago and there was barely seven people there including myself the manager looked disillusioned i tried to cheer him up but he just stared off into the distance, crazy times.

@pointnIaugh

I got laid off in 2021 and the company didn't follow the w.a.r.n. procedures. We sued them for a million dollars and split the money a year later.

@ricogreen2538

It not only the problem of the people losing their jobs

Many are in serious debt
People were over leverage

In the old system education work morgage vacations and credits

Thinking at the end retirement house ownership as a nest egg

Thats all gone

@J_Hun.

I’m a Registered Nurse, who works in a hospital, and I was just laid off today 😡 Even careers, with “job security,” are not immune! How is this possible, when there will always be someone who is sick, and/or dying?! Times are getting scary.

@shr1mps-online

We are in for a rough ride guys, the real sad thing is that is probably going to get much worse, dont forget to vote in the upcoming midterms 😢😢😢

@wilson8979

The problem is social media. People want to spend money on entertainment and travel to post on social media. So the demand got so high, the on,y thing to do is raise prices with high demand. Now people are priced out. But nobody wants to admit that. People still want to flex like they still got it when they don’t. Prices too high and wages stagnant

@finnhansen7171

here in denmark tips are included in the price. that is so much better. also the employees all are paid a liveable wage . no hustling😊😊😊

@TWHISPERER

By the end of the year, I predict that approximately 9M people in America will be unemployed.

@BestBuysReviewed

Is it just me, or do the job cuts always hit just as rent’s due?
