Could possibly optimize later by having them only spawn within a certain perimeter around the player, and anything too far from that would then be unloaded. The point of unloading them would be just so that they can be loaded again later when needed to save in having to create a fresh version. I don't know if you already do any of this or not since I didn't feel like frame-by-frame checking your code.
