This is a really great video. I appreciate your straightforward step by step guide, including the changes in the female. Today, my saffron cornsnake decided to lay 15 beautiful and fertile eggs. Because she's so close to me, I have been able to watch every single mood she has gone through. So I did laugh to myself when she had finished laying as the evening just started. How thoughtful. I had everything ready as you had suggested people should do. It was so easy to move the female, easily separate her eggs, candle, mark, set, and start the incubation. It was pure joy, and the cornsnake is already recovering well, having a good climb around her fresh enclosure. I also love to see that you are not talking about value or about what could be made. Their care and attention to every detail is the most important part for me. It's more for the love of the animal and the breeding is a way of being able to share and offer very healthy, beautiful babies. I look forward to your next video.

Thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and break down the breeding process step by step! Itโ€™s incredibly helpful for those of us still learning and preparing for the journey. Your experience and insights make a huge differenceโ€”really appreciate you putting this out there! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ

Excellent video... doesn't matter if someone is a new breeder or experienced breeder, it's always good to get info and ideas from other breeders. For example the water only method is becoming more and more popular and thats because of videos like this.. great job

Great video Paul. Thank you so much!

@AgharGrin

good video! thanks for this, i'll save it so i can rewatch it when we get closer to our first clutch. any thoughts on maternal incubation? we keep our reptile room between 86 and 90 and our humidity ranges throughout the day between 50 and 65 pecent. we do have an incubator for kick outs, overages, or emergencies. it's not finished yet, but it will be before we start pairing. i find myself wondering if there is enough benefit (physical and/or psychological) for the babies to out-weigh the extra physical stress on the mother.

@Mr_Bugar

I have a good size male above 1300 grams, i can't get him to breed with my female thats 2100 grams, do you think i should move them into a tub?
