People say she meant junk food...but, nearly everything in America could be considered junk food because most of their cuisine is industrialised. They add sugar, sweeteners, additives etc. In Europe most of restaurants use products from locals. That way everything is fresh and doesn't need chemicals for preservation. American food tastes "better" because sugar realeases endorphins, so your brain says it's good, not your taste buds.

I visit NYC every year because I'm a huge Mets fan but what largely draws me back is the food, the people, the summer weather but ultimately... the people. I love how funny and loud New Yorkers are, you can talk to anybody.

You can tell some of you lot are ignorant by assuming that Americans supposedly only eat fast foods because that is not entirely true. Yes,some of the food is processed and yes some of fellow countrymen struggle with obesity,but don’t y’all act like the U.K doesn’t have issues with highly processed foods because the U.K is number 1 in Europe;now I will say without a doubt the U.K is by far better than us when it comes to issues with obesity. Who is to say she ate organic or mostly non processed foods,let’s not jump the gun people.

As an Aussie who’s been to the U.S. I found everything was sweet. Even the bread had a slight cake like taste, it was weird, and I’m a sweet tooth. Was happy to get back to OZ for some spice! Weird!
