I've lived in Florida since 1972 and this was the very first Hurricane that I was scared. We worked through the whole storm keeping our drainage ditch clear so we wouldn't flood. We saved our home. But the water surrounded us. I feel blessed

@lindacarter2450

Looks so bad Thomas and I feel for those who have suffered and had their houses flooded. Really glad to know you and your family are safe, take care of each other and offer help to those who need it.

@kyarilee

Thanks for sharing. The news is mostly focused on damage to West Coast but I know that inland counties got flooded as well. Plant City had lot of flooding

@mickeymarkman8232

So so good to see you safe,, keep on ❀

I'm so happy that you are all doing good. My parents had a mobile home in Largo, and they would have been getting ready to fly down for the winter. I hope, and pray that the seniors πŸ§“ all evacuated before the hurricane πŸŒ€ hit. I'm glad that you have a generator, as with type 1 diabetes your insulin has to be kept cold,other then the one that your using. You both were very lucky to have a truck that could get through the water πŸ’¦. It's going to be a very long clean up. There is a convoy of trucks with 150 Ontario Hydro workers are on their way to Florida to help getting the power restored. Other provinces in Canada will also be sending workers, as well as some states are as well. I hope you have a uneventful day my friends, and stay safe β€οΈπŸ™‚βš˜οΈπŸ€—.

I'm very happy you found a station πŸš‰ with power so you could get fuel ⛽️..stay safe πŸ™ and God bless..

@jamiesteade5116

I am so glad you are all safe. I am praying for all of you. I went through Katrina in Mobile, Alabama. My job was washed away, and we were withouth power for almost 2 weeks. I completely understand the devastation, and we weren't even the worst hit during the storm. Take care and be safe!!

@lisasanchez7057

My prayers go out to you and your family and to all the people from Florida God bless and stay safe

Rivers are still cresting (Friday). So dangerous to walk in the water. Live electric wires could be in there or snakes and tons of bacteria. Glad you turned around πŸ˜…

@donnaknowles-ni8fg

i am so thankful your family is safe...the gas thing is scary...my son in law is type 1 diabetic...scary to run out of gas...thanks for the real tour of the neighborhood...praying for all of you in the hurricanes path

@tammyreeves168

Keeping you’ll in our prayers. Be very careful. Don’t go walking through any water. I heard people talking about some really bad bacteria in the flood waters.

@fishinwidow35

Thanks for the tour. Glad you got gas, I keep several cans full here in the winter in case we have an outage.

@YvettePeterson-x7c

You're excited; your dad is laid-back πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚
