Bluegill never fails.
Went bass fishing at a pond with live minnows. Caught a 7lb cat with a live minnow. I didn’t even know the pond had cats.
Catfish really eat just about everything
I prefer jumbo shrimp. I put hook through the body twice and once through the tail
In Lake Erie, it seems like they switch what they want. Shrimp, worm , crawdads, but the one thing that never fails is cut bait.
The only problem about worms are that more fish will bite more often than a catfish will
I use all 3 , they all work like a charm. A piece of advise would be don’t be afraid to use big bait either.
Cut bait from a carp has been the winning ticket for me this last weekend
Idk if yall have tried koolaid chicken, but I’ve caught some slammers with thigh meat and cherry koolaid, stays on the hook better then liver, and doesn’t get snatched by panfish like worms. Best bait is life fish, I always bring a creek rod and a rooster tail, catch a small fish, then hook it up and catch a water heifer
Liver's if you take sewing thread and just wrap the livers in all different direction
Livers are real good.I use a cut panty hose and wrap them around it with 5 0z .😊
Uncooked chicken breast with garlic and koolaid.
All those i used caught many channel cat's seen big ones
Shrimp always seem to work great!
Nothing beats live bait.
Alive Frogs 🐸
Beef liver, cut into strips.
We used to catch catfish with ...grape Bubble Yum bubble gum. Chew it a little bit to soften it up and pack it around the treble hook. Worked every time. There were big debates held over wether Bubble Yum,Hubba Bubba or Double Bubble was the best. Tried em all and it was Bubble Yum for us.
For freshwater catfish I strongly suggest using shrimp or anything like shrimp! My father used shrimp in dauphin island and the catfish came ROLLING in! Hope this helps❤
