I remember reading somewhere that Brazil has the highest number of a LOT of ethnicities out of their home country. So not only do they have the most Germans outside of Germany, they have the most Japanese outside of Japan, the most Italians outside of Italy, and at least a few others I can't remember for sure.
0:50 The length of Norway's coastline is not "due to the coastline paradox". The coastline paradox is the thing that makes it meaningless to say it's long enough to go twice round the earth. Because of the coastline paradox the length could be once round the earth or twice round the earth or three times round the earth (or lots of other lengths) depending on how precisely you measure it. Every nook and cranny adds length. If you don't go right into every one you get a shorter length.
8:17 I think the main reason is because San Marino has waaay lower taxes for cars, so a lot of Italians near the region buy and register their cars there. You should see the amount of cars with SM license plates in Rimini (nearby Italian city)
I've watched a couple of your videos, and you don't know what "squared" means. When you're talking about the width of a country, or any other straight line measurement, you just say the distance. "Squared" is used to measure area, not distance.
Bolivia’s “warship” are mostly speedboats and tiny ships with a few guns.
The coastline paradox means any coastine could stretch round the Earth infinite times.
12:10: “Chile could easily slip between mainland Africa and Madagascar” Comoros 🇰🇲: Am I a joke to you?
12:00. Widths are NOT measured in “kilometers squared”
2:11 "grey overcast and rather miserable" while using a picture of the city i live in😭
9:10 That should be "point farthest from the centre of the earth" not "closest to space." They are different. The edge of space is defined by altitude above the surface (edit: Not including mountains but including bulge). Therefore the earth's equatorial bulge also increases the distance from the centre of the earth to where space begins.
When two oceans meet, nothing is said. They just wave.
I'm surprised you didn't include the Panama Canal. Most people assume the canal extends east from the Caribbean to a western end on the Pacific, but because of the bend of the Isthmus of Panama it actually extends north-west from the Caribbean to south-east on the Pacific!
2:20 the heatwave fact actually blew me away, because in India, you'd consider 25°C in the summer as a cool summer day
9:35 what I find crazy is technically there is always one person at any moment of time that is the closest human to space while touching the earth, and they have absolutely no idea
St-John's in Newfoundland is 1000 km (600 miles) closer to Paris, France than to Vancouver, BC.
to help you with some more alike future videos: - South Africa have 3 capitals - only 5 countries use purple in their flags - The Border Between Belgium & The Netherlands at Baarle-Hertog/Baarle-Nassau is surely the most complex in the world - Nauru is the only country in the world with no capital - France actually shares a border with the Netherlands!!! - France is the country with the most time zones - Continents move at the same rate as fingernails grow - Antarctica is the largest desert in the world - This one requires some focus: In the Philippines, there is an island in the middle of a lake, on another island that is in a lake, on an island. Small correction, the Spanish province you mentioned is called Ceuta, not Cueta. We also have Melilla and Peñón de Vélez de la Gomera, which are Spanish territories that border Morocco, this last one being the smallest border in the world
Similar to the Samsung fact, Novo Nordisk's market cap is now bigger than the entire economy of Denmark where it is based.
Amapá (a Northern Brazilian state) cannot be accessed by land from any other Brazilian territory. You can only get there by boat/barge. The only bridge connecting it to other territories is a bridge to French Guyana. But French Guyana’s only land connection is to Amapá, since it doesn’t have a bridge to Suriname either
