I am a LincStation N1 owner happy with the hardware and software balance out of the box. I plan to try alternative operating systems after I reach a comfort level with UNRAID.

Still hoping someone is going to launch one with a lot of SSDs and a few spinnys. I want to make a seriously fast RAID in the SSDs and just use one big spinny as a simple disk for hot-swappable backup.

Question: I have a SFF MS-01 its a beast it does everything i need it to do .. and its small why don't these NAS manufactures build a NAS that have a CPU and specs with some horsepower I think I paid like 600.00 for the MS-01 .But I have to have an external drive or connect via network for my media.. The only NAS im aware of with some comparable specs is Qnap and its like 3500.00 thats NUTS.. Thanks for your time

No seagulls in the desert! But seriously, I have the first lincstation and the company behind it is dead silent since delivering it to the backers. I cant even get an answer on linking my unraid license to my own account. I would not but another version of these things, they're just shoving boxes without any support.
