@JuliArvi

They are horrible for us with disabilities! I already struggled opening/closing bottles before, but it's almost impossible now 😢

@rugeramerican308

Didnt have a problem with it when they came. We dont drink a lot of soda and mostly buy cans or glass bottles. BUT WHEN THEY PUT THEM ON THE MILK CARTONS THEN IT GOT PERSONAL

@fargopolo

He forgot he was the mirrored clone, so he twisted it in the wrong direction.

@olafurw

Yes there was soda in there and yes its pretty flat after all the takes I did.

@Marcusianery

Yeah, thats pretty much how it felt when these arrived.

@cariboubearmalachy1174

So what happened with the IKEA set?

@Blixthand

Whoever came up with that design managed to achieve one thing, a discussion topic for every dinner table. I kid you not I think it has been brought up how much we hate those lids and how literally none ever lost them before that and how most people just rip or cut them off anyway, at every singe gathering of people I've been in since they started appearing. Even if the very same people discussed the same thing 1 month ago it will come up again as soon as someone opens a bottle.

@Xehlwan

I struggled with these caps until I relized that they just require the cap to be on perfectly straight before you try to twist. There's an argument to be had about why a bottle cap should require that level of precision though...

@Ed87

Once I bought a bottle of ice tea with this cap. Only drank a sip of tea, then I closed it and put it into my backpack. Then I got on a tram and only there I noticed that my clothes were soaking wet on me and there was a puddle around me. Well, it turned out I didn't succesfully screw back the cap and all the tea just disappeared into my backpack, its content and my clothes. 😂

@FlypperFlop

I was at a conference and got a bottle of water with that type of lid. As I was busy looking at stuff, I didn't notice that I screwed the cap on eeeever so slightly misaligned. This caused the water to leak out and into my headset. Luckily it survived after leaving it to dry, but this stupid cap almost caused me to produce unnecessary electronic waste. (I normally carry a reusable bottle with a normal removable cap so I don't have to deal with this ****)

@liekemuller564

It sucks closing those caps again!
Some close without a problem and some have decided to ruin your day!

@mikkojk83

As for the Finland, this doesn't just involve the bottlecaps, EU also wants to disband the current Finnish bottle recycling system that manages to recycle 98% of the bottles and soda cans. As for why, it's because they are crushed and re-manufactured instead of being just washed, practice that was banned decades ago because bottles containing cigarette butts and gasoline got refilled and sold.

@stormmalm7049

I had the pleassure of seeing Jack Black react to these caps live when he tried to open an imsdal water bottle at the Tenacious D concert in Oslo spektrum this year

@Yamezzzz

Why has this thing suddenly becme so common in the UK? Its worse on smoothies or milkshakes where the attached lid can drip on you when you try to pour or drink it.

I always put the lid back on when im done anyway, who doesn't?

@MissesWitch

I'M SO GLAD I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON LIKE THIS!!

@ValentineC137

I appreciate being the only person to have flawless caps

@-DMD-

I just break them off and transform them in normal caps. They break super easy through a circular motion, like you’d keep the same motion after you’re done unscrewing, and then repeat the other direction

@salllly

This EU law seems almost like a plot to unite eurpoean citizens. We now have a common enemy! The bottle caps! 😂

@HaykTKD

Recently went to Iceland and I was SO confused as to why the caps wouldn’t come off. I kept ripping them off thinking that the production quality was terrible until I saw a kid snap it back.

@Norwegianboi

I'm a norwegian and i drink on average probably a bit more pepsi max than the average person and the new bottle caps make me furious sometimes
