@MichaelConstantine92

I watched Sesame Street and Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. It was my only window to the sun in an otherwise dark childhood. I saw how people should treat each other and a window to life beyond poverty, neglect, and abuse.

@downtownd1351

I have always been a fan of PBS and NPR my whole life. Then when covid hit I was 39 years old and I watched the world go mad and every media channel including including PBS and NPR seemed to be reading from a similar down to the word. When it was time to only support the shot those two also had to jump on board on board and I hate to say it but fair people have forgotten or maybe unlearned or whatever the case may be what the words fair and unbiased means either that or all and that means all of the media are captured

@kenhunt5153

So, those complaints about not funding PBS or NPR do you know how much his top 1% tax cut will cost us over 10 years?
$1T, $3T...$4T...no, keep going.
I would be in more of a lather over his billionaire's tax cut.

@jonathanleach1050

Is public broadcasting a Constitutionally enumerated power of the federal government? If not, then the power to fund it belongs to the several states, or to the people. Let's level the playing field and let ALL broadcasters compete for funding using the same rules.

@drbettyschueler3235

My kids watched PBS throughout their childhood and teens. I am sure it is one reason why they did so well in school. PBS has programs for people of all ages. And NPR has many quality programs to listen to when watching TV is not an option or when traveling or working around the house. I hope both PBS and NPR are able to weather this current challenge to their existence as both of them are national treasures.

@joeschmo6126

"INDEPENDENT" -----------> 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@BabsKaz

PBS is not all news programs!! 😕

@williamwhitten7820

If it is pulic broadcasting let the public interested pay for it through fund drives, not taxpayer dollars.

@commonsense6611

I've watched some PBS shows at times, and have enjoyed certain programs such as those about history and travel. However, I agree that the news presentation has had its obvious left leaning news side, as does CBS, NBC, and ABC. Therefore, I am not in favor of my federal tax money going to such private television and radio stations. Additionally, nothing is "free," if I am helping to pay for it. So, I want to see an end to all spending that does not support an America/Americans first agenda. That includes making sure that every "American" is not hungry and is not homeless before anyone else. So, eating, sleeping comes before watching TV. JUST SAYING...

@joec.5442

7:53 ...Well, one way to "keep government out" would be to accept public contributions in lieu of congressional appropriations.

@trukarma6420

It’s an absolute disgrace that this college asked him to speak

@coffeecup3177

As independent organizations could you stay in business if you raised money privately? You would then be able to produce and broadcast programs without interference from politicians.

@mariaelenacastro6996

Total support yo PBS the best independent source of news in the USA.

@freedomfighter1000

PBS Kids Show Featured DRAG QUEEN Singing About His Body Parts IS WRONG !

@drewastolfi6840

PBS is the best news... least biased, goes deeper and is more serious. Also does a ton of cultural programs. MAGA vs Big Bird...lets see who wins.

@garyolsen6299

Lol😆

@jameswells9583

There time has passed, so has the fact that they both sit on a GOLDRN SHOVEL,AND ITS A BIG ONE! So biased so selfish.BYE BYE TO OUR TAX MONEY. HEY PEOPLE LOOK UP WHAT THEY MAKE TOTAL A YEAR.

@pwk22

There is no need for public broadcasting. The private sector will fill your information needs. Public media will always skew left. The BBC in Britain is Exhibit A.

@graysonburkhart

Sickening

@danielmccann4055

It's a shame. They did some great stuff in the past but they just ruined everything that was bequeathed to them. Good riddance.
