did he? Javier turned on John and Arthur. John didnt betray
John stopped owing Javier when Javier pulled a gun on him with dutch
1899: Javier Esquella 1911: Speedy Gonzalez
Did he? Javier along with the Dutch group betrayed them first. He decided his side. He can't ask for loyalty.
You can't say John betrayed Javier. They hadn't seen each other for 8 years... And the last time they met, Javier was fighting John in the name of loyalty to Dutch. John's only fault was wanting to live a life that was better than being an Outlaw always on the run...
Javier betrayed him. Gratitude only goes so far.
Its a shame how it ended with Javier. I think he was a good guy, but he was a coward at the time it mattered most
Arthur, Javier, Bill and John were as close as real brothers
John was loyal he had to be loyal to himself in the end
TBF john didn’t have a choice, yes javier and arthur saved john but the only person stayed loyal to him was arthur only, yes javier didn’t point gun at them but in that moment all john could see was his family betraying him
Javier looked for John, and John looked for Javier…
The fact that John is only 26 here is crazy bro looks at least 39 lmao
When I replayed rdr1, I remembered this moment from rdr, and when I found Javier in rdr1, I didn't kill him
Friends ➡️ enemies
The detail they call each other “Brother” with a gun out is beautiful
That’s the sad thing about character development in a prequel no matter what that character has to end up the way they were before
You skipped the part where Javier, Dutch, Micah & the 2 new guys shooting at Arthur & John at nearly the end in that horse chase
Licking my screen rn
I find it interesting in RDR1 that you get given the option to spare or kill Javier. John doesn't have a choice in hunting him down for Agent Ross but if the player decides to spare Javier then I guess in some small way John is repaying the favour, even if it means taking him in.
