@peterawesomeness1

Thank you for this! One of the best examples of my work I have to share was to clean up a mess I could have prevented. I'll save that for this type of question.

Thanks Gg ! Your videos helped me bag an offer with Amazon !

@NQuiz52

Whoa, Whoa! There are notes! 0:50 You are a Godsend. Incredible you are... YOU ARE!

@amc1999

Your guidance is very clear and informative. Really appreciate the guidance you are providing on this forum.

@HillelGarciaAustria

Great info... as always. Examples that blow the mind of the interviewer in order to stand out, great advice. Thank you GG.

I recently got interviewed for level 6(technical role) and they had asked me about a situation when I stood for someone.

This was asked by the hiring manager and despite me being the best fit technically (got this information separately over LinkedIn), I was not hired. Amazon unfortunately does not give feedback and that’s really not a great thing because a candidate expects feedback after giving 7 rounds of interviews.

Coming back to the question , I answered that i had saved an intern when he messed up a customer’ situation over a weekend and despite my management agreeing to fire the candidate (in line with what customer had requested ) , I went ahead and save the day for the guy - who was a newbie and it was an issue of miscommunication between customer &. engineer.

Now this might look like me going above and beyond our managements decision and trying to save the candidate , but that action actually saved him from getting fired.

This saving of the candidate got me rejected 🤣. I can only say that don’t try to intimidate the manger thinking that you will overrule his decisions in crisis situations .

Sometimes it’s painful to agree that these trick questions can override the amount of technical expertise u bring in to the role.

@MCS23375

This is very insightful about how many failure/mistake type questions are typically asked?

Hey I got an offer! I got a informal offer over a week ago but unfortunately still waiting on HR to draft an official offer for me. I was told they are still trying to figure out compensation. Do you know why this might be taking a while? Thanks!

@LionOwono

So well explained thanks

@jaafar313

nice, thank you

@mautezsyria8480

HI GIG , many thanks ,
The third example needed a brave candidate, so I have a question if I did a big mistake and it was affecting the customer environment, is there any problem as the customer is number one in AWS, and maybe the interviewer will put red-flag as I affect customer

@waz306

Does the course include some example answers to questions or just provides tips and guidance ?

@MrDavidXRPShort

Hello GG! First, Love Your Hair Cut! I just received your Support Notes and I know you already know there are 14 LP's and not 16. However, 'Strive To Be Earths Best Employer', and 'Success and Scale Bring Broad Responsibility' are still listed in the notes, making it 16. Should we still incorporate these into our preparation and why were these two removed from the list? Thanks for all you do!!! I'd love to meet you one day. Thanks!

@miramar-103

The whole process seems so contrived .... as a software engineer rarely, if ever, am I customer facing, so coming up with these cute scenarios is pretty impossible. Also, as a software engineer that is proud to say has navigated well clear of any 'catastrophic' incidents ... and has repeatedly landed projects on time and on spec, coming up with these 'describe a scenario where you failed' stories is also pretty difficult.... so then what?

@kbdab

Hi Gigi, what if I made a mistake that I was not able to recover from, e.g., losing a potential client? Can lesson learned be applied to other/future clients?

@Runner899

I've been watching your videos since I found you on LinkedIn! I might have an interview for an Amazon role (Fingers crossed) What is your opinion on bringing a page of notes with you during the interview and reading my notes from it in front of the hiring manager?

@michellelam1072

Hi GiGi, I too have a great failure story but it was from 2008 when I was starting out in my career which involved working alone over the weekend, folding and inserting 1000 paper letters by hand. I understand I'm supposed to use examples from recent experiences, which was also listed in Amazon's interview prep instructions. Will I get points deduced if I use an old one?

@chutifun99

Mu recruiter just reached out to me and informed me that there are additional rounds needed, i now have two more rounds with BRs next week, what should i focus on? Will the BR repeat LPs
