Btw it really sometimes makes sense to submerge your pc parts in water for cleaning. Water has to be distilled, all parts should be unpowered (for example, motherboard should have cmos battery removed). Using regular water e.g. from a facet in a bathroom is bad cuz you are gonna leave very much of CaCO3 on the pc parts that water from a facet contains.

This is actually okay as long as there's no charge in any components, and as long as no water got into any ICs, and if you dry it thoroughly

It is a doable thing but do not turn it on before it is dry, then if the BIOS battery has been removed there is no problem
