The M3 MacBook Air is brilliant, I throw everything at it like 4K editing and it renders it so quickly, problem is like the M1 air it does get very hot if you’re doing complicated tasks

I made a similar move. Had an M2 13 inch MacBook Air. In January, traded up for an M3 14 inch MacBook Pro because I just really craved the Promotion display. But almost immediately I hated everything else. The thickness (my hands and my wrists when typing were so uncomfortable), the weight, the hefty brick-like feel, the keyboard that felt like I had to smash it with an anvil every time I pressed a key. I actually wasn’t all that impressed with the display – definitely it’s a nicer display, but I actually expected more out of it. Overall, mini-LED just gave me the feeling of sitting too close to my TV. So this week I traded my Pro in for the new 16 gig base model M3 MacBook Air. I am immediately typing faster, my fingers and wrists don’t hurt from using it, and I don’t have a 3 1/2 pound chunk of metal constantly sliding down my lap when I’m using it on the couch anymore. I thought about it, going back to an Air from a Pro for me feels familiarly comfortable and comfortably familiar. I don’t think I’ll ever go near the Pros again until/unless they get rid of that ill-advised chunky 2021 redesign.

I ordered a MacBookAir M3 16GB 1TB model in March and within 2-3 months the logic board completely failed on me. Extremely light usage as this was a spare computer for me. Computer suddenly could not start up. A logic board replacement was done. Several months later, the speakers started having hazy sound and a clicking sound. Apple diagnosed this as a hardware issue (no fault of mine). I asked for a replacement unit since this appeared to be a lemon unit. “Senior Advisors” started quoting the Service Agreement to me and informed me that there was no consumer law protection in Singapore. Good to know Apple has such stellar customer service.

Absolutely the best review i have ever watched. This is the one I was looking for the entire time. Mentioned the pros and cons, good editing, good script, no music and more. I was hesitant on getting the 15 over the 13 due to better heat decapitation, but now i think the 13 is the sweet spot for my needs. You have potential!!

First time Mac buyer here, I had messed around with hackintosh experiments for years but never really got the courage to just buy a Mac. Experience is 10/10 from the very unboxing. Using it for music production with heavy multisynth processing and it's doing it effortlessly. Every key press or trackpad touch just feels right, you can tell Apple focuses a lot on user experience. Everything works seamlessly.

Thank you for this really helped, just ordered the same spec device. I have an M4 mini with a 5K display that powers the hungry stuff in my studio and I had been using the M2 iPad Pro as my mobile device. That is a great device - but limited by the OS. So the Air becomes my mobile device - and the Mini my workhorse. The iPad becomes more of a media consumption and drawing device. Thank you again.

MI MBA user here. I am Fairley newish to MacBook and I have to say, I know why Apple users stick to Apple Laptops. Once you use an Apple laptop, you can see a major difference to windows laptops. Apple runs rather smoother than windows but... I guess the difference between the air and the pro is you, the user what you needs are for. If you do a lot of editing, go for the pro. You can still edit on the air, but it will lag, and it doesn't run as smoothly as the pro does. I mean there is a major price different for a reason. The MacBook is a great laptop, don't think for one min that it is not.

i got a 15" MacBook air M3 for xmas, 16gb 512 ssd. I'm coming from a 2016 i5 MacBook pro non touch bar 8gb 256ssd. the air is instant the moment i lift the lid to log in!

As I’m New to Mac’s and iPhones.I had a MBA M3 16/512 $1,165 returned it for 24GB /512 $1,302 a day later returned for MBP M4 24/512 m4 pro chip $1,801. I’ll just use for light video editing ( drone, some pro resolution with iPhone, DJI osmos3 vlogging) and who knows what else for later . That’s why I paid the difference. I enjoy your informative channel keep it rolling🎉🎉
