@elpitucaselacree

I had the same problem.

I removed the cover, removed the clocks’s little battery, gently cleaned the area with a rug and put that battery back in. The laptop came back to life showing a Time Zone error. Good luck!

It's frustrating when your laptop won't turn on! There are a few common reasons why this happens, and several troubleshooting steps you can try. Let's go through them systematically, from the simplest to more involved.
1. Check the Power Source and Connections (The Basics)
 * Wall Outlet: Is the wall outlet working? Plug in another device (like a lamp or phone charger) to confirm it has power. If it doesn't, try a different outlet.
 * Power Strip/Surge Protector: If you're using a power strip or surge protector, make sure it's turned on and functioning correctly. Try plugging your laptop's charger directly into a wall outlet to rule out the power strip as the issue.
 * AC Adapter (Charger):
   * Secure Connection: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the laptop's charging port and the adapter brick, and the adapter brick is securely plugged into the wall outlet.
   * Inspect for Damage: Carefully examine the entire length of the power cord and the adapter brick for any signs of damage: fraying, cuts, exposed wires, kinks, discoloration, or a burning smell. If you see any damage, stop using it immediately and replace the charger.
   * Correct Adapter: Make sure you're using the correct power adapter for your specific laptop model. Using an adapter with incorrect voltage or amperage can prevent it from charging or turning on.
   * Try a Different Adapter: If possible, try using a known good power adapter from a compatible laptop. This is one of the best ways to determine if your original charger is faulty.
 * Laptop Charging Port: Gently wiggle the charger where it plugs into your laptop. Does it feel loose? Are there any bent pins inside the port? A damaged charging port can prevent power from reaching the laptop.
2. Perform a Hard Reset (Power Cycle)
This can often clear minor glitches.
 * Unplug Everything: Disconnect the AC adapter from the laptop.
 * Remove Battery (If Removable): If your laptop has a removable battery, take it out.
 * Hold Power Button: Press and hold the power button for 15-30 seconds. This helps discharge any residual electricity in the system.
 * Reconnect Power (No Battery): Reconnect the AC adapter (but don't put the battery back in yet).
 * Try to Turn On: Press the power button to see if the laptop turns on. If it does, the issue might be with your battery. If not, proceed to the next steps.
 * Reinsert Battery: If it turned on without the battery, shut it down, reinsert the battery, and try turning it on again.
3. Check for Display Issues (Is it on, but the screen is black?)
Sometimes the laptop powers on, but the display doesn't show anything.
 * Listen for Sounds: Listen for fan noise, hard drive activity (if it has a traditional hard drive), or any startup sounds. This indicates the laptop is trying to turn on.
 * External Monitor: Connect your laptop to an external monitor or TV via HDMI, DisplayPort, or VGA. If the display appears on the external screen, the problem is likely with your laptop's internal display, graphics card, or related cable.
 * Brightness Keys: Press the brightness function keys on your keyboard (often F2, F3, F5, F6, F7, or F8, sometimes requiring you to hold the "Fn" key). You might have accidentally turned the brightness all the way down.
 * Faint Image: In a dark room, shine a flashlight at the laptop screen at an angle. If you can faintly see an image, the backlight of your screen might have failed.
4. Remove External Devices
Sometimes, a faulty peripheral connected to your laptop can prevent it from booting up.
 * Disconnect All Peripherals: Unplug all external devices, including USB drives, external hard drives, mice, keyboards, printers, etc.
 * Try to Turn On: Attempt to power on the laptop with only the power adapter connected.
5. Listen for Beep Codes or Blinking Lights
Laptops often have diagnostic "beep codes" or blinking light patterns that indicate a specific hardware problem.
 * Listen Carefully: When you press the power button, listen for a series of beeps.
 * Observe Lights: Note any specific blinking patterns from the power LED, battery LED, or other indicator lights.
 * Consult Manual: Look up your laptop's user manual or the manufacturer's support website (e.g., HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, Asus, etc.) for a list of beep codes or light patterns and what they mean. These can point to issues with RAM, CPU, motherboard, or graphics.
6. Overheating
If your laptop recently shut down suddenly, it might be due to overheating.
 * Clear Vents: Ensure all air vents are clear of dust and debris. Use compressed air to clean them if necessary (follow instructions on the can carefully).
 * Cool Down: Let the laptop sit for a while to cool down completely before trying to turn it on again.
7. Advanced Troubleshooting (If comfortable and applicable)
 * Reseat RAM: If you're comfortable opening your laptop's back panel (and it's easy to access the RAM), you can try to remove and re-insert the RAM modules. Sometimes they can become loose. Be very gentle and refer to your laptop's service manual if unsure.
 * Check SSD/HDD Connection: Similarly, if you have easy access, ensure the connection to your solid-state drive (SSD) or hard disk drive (HDD) is secure.
When to Seek Professional Help:
If you've tried all the above steps and your laptop still won't turn on, it's likely a more serious hardware issue. This could be a problem with the:
 * Motherboard
 * CPU
 * Graphics card
 * Power button assembly
 * Internal power circuitry
In these cases, it's best to contact your laptop's manufacturer support or take it to a reputable computer repair shop. They have specialized diagnostic tools and expertise to pinpoint and fix the problem.
Remember to provide them with as much detail as possible about what happened, what troubleshooting steps you've already tried, and any sounds or light patterns you observed.

My laptop battery was corrupted long back and i was using it with only by the help of the adapter, at last my laptop was dead, I found no solutions. And my laptop is in coma for a year 😂

@CheeseDude015

You have a bad charger, or your laptop battery needs to be replaced.

@xxsoul152

Metoo pls someone help I tired everything but still nothing worked pls help me 😢

@Splendisimo

Alternative solution: I had another laptop of the exact same model; I just took the hard drive out of the broken laptop and put it into the working one

@SMILYO885

1. Take out the battery and turn it on with the power cable

2. Were you doing a BIOS/UEFI update? Because when BIOS/UEFI gets corrupted the pc won't turn on

3. Do you hear a fan sound?

4. If all those don't work I recommend sending it in for repair

@maxcity1

Thanks! This helped alot

@ShunBucog

I can't charge my laptop I'm dead if my mom see it does not charge😭

@RobloTuber11ORIGINAL

Just hold the power button 5-10 seconds until it opens

@japjeetsidhu8336

Thank you bhya first time koi vedio kam ayya❤❤❤

@shauryagupta1017

I fell asleep with it running (it's battery is expired and I'm using it with the adapter) and I woke up after a few hours and it isn't running anymore. What do I do 😢😨

@TrompKramer

Take out the battery and the bios Cmos battery. Hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then plug the bios CMOS battery back in. Turn it on with the power cord plugged in. If if turns on, then plug the battery back in. If the battery shows it's charged the problem is most likely the cmos battery and needs to be replaced.
