@LelloDalamiq

They nailed it. The colour, the dithering, the slight blur effect; This is exactly how it was perceived. A beautiful piece of history, faithfully recreated.

@CAMBIOMGB

I'm finally going to stop hunting for a good CRT, this is the perfect marriage between old and new tech

@seethruhead7119

the effect it has on dithering is exceptional

@Toschez

Another terrific work! I always appreciate that RE1's rather plain background in raw pixels make so much more sense in CRT, as well as Dracula's red doted eyes.

@nowonmetube

Finally an actual CRT effect that my TVs had not one of those with "scanlines".

@PineRune

The sample of gameplay for Castlevania at 13:33 is a great example of a good CRT filter. The way Dracula's eyes glow as well as the enhanced details with the filter vs the raw pixels is a perfect comparison to show people when explaining how CRT games should look.

@Leo-Tyrant

Just wanted to drop by and say that I have been using your shaders for PS1, PS2 and Arcade for months. They really -really-, nail the look. I stopped stressing out about connecting the old CRT, cause now I get to use the same OLED display for all the games (retro and new), thanks to you. Royale, as famous as it is, doesn't come close, please keep it up!

@DuoDynamo

You're doing an amazing work.
Seriously; thank you. This is such a great thing to have for those of us who don't have space for a big CRT.

@theartcrusader759

Finally quality crt filters that aren't a dim blurry mess. This is nearly 1:1 how I remember images looking on a real crt. Bright crisp and with rich colors that are pleasing to the eyes

@Bodom1978

Watching these shader comparisons fills me with a warm and fuzzy feeling 😊

@danielgibbons4858

You get such an improvement in sense of dept with CRT. It is one of the many reasons I stuck with CRT monitors for years after everyone else got into LCD screens.

@nerdicusx

Perfection!! Now my Retroid Pocket Mini looks just like my Analogue Pocket CRT filter! Thank you!!!

@NAzo.

Dude I'm sold on just the added color depth alone wow.

@sofiaciel7599

SotN at 13:10 in particular shows how developers made these games with CRT screens in mind, it's a good looking game even as it is, but intentionally mimicking the bleed of a CRT screen makes all the colors start to blend, making the sprites look like their palettes are wider than they really are. and it makes the single pixel of red in Dracula's eyes in his portrait look like his eyes are glowing red

@NanaKyoto

I still have yet to acquire a CRT TV for myself (as I'm highly interested in one), so, something like this would be the next best thing.

@sonkunhyperspinretroarch4867

So you chose to use guest ntsc and then sharpened that baby up just right while still being able to have full blended dithering, nice and you got that brightness tweaked just right. Man you've really come a long way, just watching all of this casted to the 65 inch. Another one for the books right here.

@JfLSpawny

Wow, i finally have a 4k screen and this looks incredible. Thank you so much for sharing this

@OddNameGames

Retro Crisis always coming out with these super realistic, amazing filters.

Meanwhile I prepend film grain to my CRT Shaders just cuz it feels more “nostalgic” even though it makes no sense…
