Civil War reenactors yell “Medic!” whenever someone is injured, since nobody was called that during the war
"CORPSMEN! LE-" "STOP THE BATTLE! SOMEONE STOP THIS REENACTMENT!" "What???"
Y’all should choose a better Codeword, like if I was in a WWII reenactment and someone yelled “RAID Shadow Legends” I would listen up
In airsoft every player knows the 2 words "Blind man" once someone yells that everyone repetes it and we stop the game until the injured person is off the field, sometimes we might say "real world medic" but most the time its blind man
Honestly the word “Glitch” would probably be rather good as it is very modern and somewhat appropriate
Pretty helpful, you don’t expect people actually getting hurt that much
Never had an incident then all of a sudden we had two grass fires and two medical emergencies the same weekend at Lauer. You were there too!
We used to use "NO DUFF" because theres zero reason to ever shout that during a scenario.
“We don’t want to use medic so let’s use a synonym for medic instead!!” -Some genius probably
We used to say “No Duff” three times on exercise. I have no idea why.
In airsoft and milsim we use the term "blind man" to signify an emergency. I've seen it used and it is extremely effective.
i do civil war reenacting, small and national events. weve never used code words or anything like that just always checking up on each other
"Real world" that's what we used forever. Basically means cease fire and stop the battle, someone is hurt.
The British as part of Voice Procedure over Radios use "No Play" to indicate a real life situation
The one for airsoft is "BLIND MAN!"
On film shoots I've been involved in, the safe word is "Nurse!"
Well, better to be pissed off than pissed on!
Stop safety should be “PANCAKE FROG” it’s not normally something people yell out during battle 😆👍
Yeah I bet it sucks during pacific theater reenactments…Marines and Navy personnel automatically call for a “Corpsman”.
