Great video, awesome tips, it really seems the experience, first time seeing ur channel, new sub 🎉
When u changed language (ENG to Spanish) 13:53 , my neural networks shifted, doing a "re-adjust" to a different set of linguistic rules, vocabulary, and syntax… completely cool 🎉

Hi Elysse! I really liked this video and wanted your opinion if you don't mind - how do you try to keep up with your languages multiple ones, because as i'm sure you agree - if we do not use them on a constant basis, it's so easy to forget and be out of practice. but for polyglots like us who want to keep up with multiple languages, how do you do 1 a week but then don't you worry about forgetting the others? or do you get to a certain level in the other languages so that you are not likely to forget? i am wondering if learning a language 1 at a time is better than trying to learn more than 1 at the same time.

@DraftedRedd

1:23 “will you shimmy with me?” 0-0 😭

@circleofattention6021

If you say that you're fluent in a language, you're probably not.

@Cosettemontemayor

This video was soooo helpful and also made me giggle a ton haha (shouts out to the “if my Turkish was a house) I’m soo tired of being a “no sabo” kid and I’m excited to embark on this journey 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️

@alanehw

Honestly with language learning just go with flow you don’t have do everything all at once sometimes you’ll have days where your fully motivated and others wether u not so motivated but it doesn’t really matter that much unless that leads you to quitting language learning is supposed to a be fun activity just go at your own pace and dont compare yourselves to others.

@nanekkii

The fact that you popped up on my feed is a sign. Was already thinking of learning more French. This will be something I do in 2025 (and beyond). I too love Gael. 😉

@محمدالقحطاني-س1ق4ف

I’m learning spanish right now and in this year 2025 i want to learn chinese with spanish

@Fuadstar55

Thank you Elysse for the tips!

@NLperso

@emms_h

I LOVE the comparison to building a house!!! This makes so much sense to me.

@mrmichael972

You have such a gentle nice voice.

@ElinevadeLa

Thanks again for motivating me to invest in myself through language learning and investing my time in something useful when our world focuses so much on material matters! Frohe Weihnachten X

@HungarianWithDori

I like your goal setting tips. I also think we need to focus on specific goals and it helps if we know exactly what we're gonna do. Like listen to this podcast or read that article, learn 10 new words in this specific topic and write sentences with them etc. And absolutely agree with your point about time. It's like brush your teeth for 2 minutes.. no.. brush them until they are clean haha
