Runs good for 3 cylinders
Engine really said fuk fuk fuk !! Plug it back fuk fuk!! ππ
Damn, I wanted him to show us taking the old spark plug out, putting a new one in and putting it all back together with the engine runningπ
Now change #1 and #2 coils and see if it misses on #1
Identifying which cylinder misfires. Swap coil with one from a good cylinder to see if the misfire follows and blame the coil if it does. If not, inspect the plug and test compression before proceeding to the injector, ignition module and crank position sensor. You'll likely find the problem among these components. Driving like this will quickly destroy the cat.
Subaru drivers drooling looking at this. π
Oooh wait for them plastic clips to display once a few yrs old
Dad taught me this, definitely a knowledge worth having
When I worked in a shop once 5 years ago I showed a lady on a 4.6 l explorer how to unplug the coil and the one that doesn't make a difference is the bad coil and it's just one eight mm bolt. She said I can do that I said you sure can so next time they are known for it to check it yourself
I just replaced all my engine coils. It made a big difference!
Hold a magnet over the top of the coil and you can feel when the coil fires with out unplugging it.
i wish to integrate bmw coil plug connectors on everything honestly theyre so good
usually when those coils fail it sets off a check engine light, plugging in an obs2 reader will tell you which cylinder it is right away (even in cars where it isnt as easy to remove the coil)
Fun fact, this engine is from a pugot, also used in a mini from 07 to 2015. and if you have misfire on any cylinder the ecu Shut off the duty cycle of that coil (cuts power to coil), so this test is almost useless on this specific engine unless you quickly unplug and replug the coil (not reliable for testing)ππ
Excellent point! I learned this on my 96' 4Runner with the 3800.
All without a laptop!! Old school baby!
I Have Done A Few Of These Recently And This Is By Far The Best Video That Helps Because It Is Simple
If it run bad after disconnect the coil then that coil pack is good
Still love my 80's and 90's Honda that has plugs that can be removed with no engine cover, no clips and no weak wires.
