We have been out of USA 12 years now. Best decision of our lives. The thing I’ve learned is… you can explain and describe all the benefits of leaving USA.. but most people don’t want to hear it… you can’t wake anyone up.. everyone will do what they are meant to do, in their own time.. my family live in the jungles of Oaxaca Mexico now. We grow food, we have lots of animals… we live alongside nature… we will never be going back to the USA. Materialism and consumerism breeds depression and anxiety. For me, that’s trash life.
It’s so refreshing seeing people greet your baby. This is something we have lost in America. People don’t like others talking to their children and now, many people don’t like children in public. It’s a shame. I think I will make sure to greet children more often when I go out and about.
Last year we spent five weeks travelling in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. I can't get it out of my head. All that you say is true. Thanks.
It was so eye opening how rich the lives are of people in SE Asia when we visited. The food was so fresh and so affordable. People were active and outside. What a rich life.
My wife and I left the USA over six years ago. We're in Costa Rica. Good luck and may life continue to treat you and your family kindly.
I'm an American, living in Thailand for 4 years now. Best decision I ever made. I miss home, but it's a nostalgic version of home that doesn't really exist anymore. My life is infinitely better here than back there. And keeping my American job/salary, I'll get to retire here 20 years earlier than I would back home.
Less is more in life, the more you own the more you have to worry about 😊
Currently escaping the matrix over here (in US). Quit my J O B recently (this week 😁) and in process of downsizing and reprioritizing everything in life. Refocusing on family time and travel. Huge life changes 🙏
"Food is Freedom" Truer words never spoken.
I am 67 and probably too old to set out on my own , but I live well and happy below the poverty line here in NC... so I will follow your journey and smile in your journey HUgs~ Lea
You are so right about all you said. What upsets me most is the homeless here... im from Denver, Colorado. The government wont even allow public drinking fountains.. the homeless have no where to fill water bottles.... or even use the restroom! So inhumane. if they ask business... they are turned away. Be happy.. youre doing what most are afraid to do. Many blessings to you all.
I'm glad you could get out. I can't even afford to travel outside the state, much less outside the U.S. I've thought about stowing away on a ship bound for Ireland. THE IRONY.
Much like Bolivia. Many people are confined to what they've been told, that there's no greater place than the U.S., but that couldn't be further from the truth. Great video, thanks for sharing!
Wow, you are just glowing! You look super strong and healthy. Your happiness is so evident and overflowing! I’m so happy for you and thankful that you’re sharing all of this with us!
I have moved to Vietnam as well. Vietnam is a fabulous country!
You guys are amazing. You made the right call. May God keep you.
6:59 hugging that puppy is SO sweet. I hope someone takes care of it!
I love this, I’ve seen your videos, but not all. This one is so beautiful and has so much truth. We here in the US and just so brainwashed, it is sad. Thank you for sharing this.
Awesome video, Katie! This is really opening my eyes a lot.
