I have 4 of the wyze smart bulbs that I bought when you first recommended them and I love them! I was originally using a different brand that would turn all of the colors like blue and red but I really enjoy the way wyze changes the warmth of the light of the bulbs. I value that more because rarely was I wanting to turn my room blue or something but I do like making my lighting warm when I'm trying to relax and cool when I'm waking up.
Hey Craig, just received Echo 5 to give to my elderly aunt who does not have a cell phone. Will I be able to set it up at her house so I can keep in touch with her and to help her in general? Thanks for this and your previous responses! Dave C.
Cheers Craig. I do have a question for you mate. With all the LIFX I have mainly z strips and other WiFi enabled devices I’m router is nearly to capacity of items to control. So I’ve bought a tplink 5 port gigabit Ethernet switch to take some pressure off. Questions. If I had another router and add it as an extender would you think I could add more WiFi devices to stop the pressure on my super router? As I don’t have a hub to manage the WiFi devices , or just buy a hub?. Thanks for the Content. As always 👍 and shared
Hi Craig, I am confused about smart life app vs smart hardware hub. Is smart life app software version of physical smart hub ? If I want to have a fully automate home that can be managed by google voice , alexa, Tuya. what is my one best do it all app ? Is it smart life app ? Is smart life app the solution for CCTV DVR, auto blind, on/off TV, lights etc ? Is there a system that also work when internet is not working ?
Subscribing because your time and energy deserves the sub. Thank you for your hard work .
My favorite smart home is Phillips hue lights but I don't have money to get them nice video 👍
The tplink tapo line seem good. I have the lights, camera and socket All work well and the build is HQ, with a low price.
When getting a socket Because you can use much more with it Keep an eye on the max switching power, max load. The tplink sockets in the UK for example are about 10 amp So 10 amp and 230v is 2.3kw. So in the US 1.2kw I'd say The tapo amp load may be higher in the US so as always look on the box or .pdf
I have 4 Gosund plugs. They work great.
"Apple tax" My favorite bulb now is the Wyze bulb. I like being able to change the color temps. They also integrate with the Wyze sense.
thanks for taking my recommendation:)
Hello buddy, my question out of subject, I've tried so many IR's, however, any remote to be added via DIY (Learning Mode) cannot be controlled by alexa nor Google home, the remote even can't be discovered by both of them, any solution for this problem?
Thanks! I’ve been putting off wzye cams but I think today I’ll make that leap!!
I would love to see a under 100$ version
Having recently got 2 echo dots, now looking to replace some of the older lightbulbs. Problem I have (I'm in the UK) is that we still have bayonet fixings and most smart bulbs have Edison type screw fittings so choice is very limited. One of the bulbs I'd like to replace is the one in my little bedside tablelamp which I like. It's a touch lamp so doubt if it would work with Alexa. It also uses golfball size bulbs. Is there a way to modify it to work with Alexa please?
Thanks Craig, some great options at a good price.
8:25 My wife “IS” still angry at me even though I didn’t over complicate my smart lighting..... LoL 😂 wish yours could talk to mine and explain it. Maybe she wouldn’t be upset with me. 🤨
Great show. Question for you, At night I say " Alexa turn off the screen " and it shuts the screen off as I ask. Can I do that in a multi step routine based on the device? Also does the Wyze camera have a battery offering?
Will the Philips hue dimmer switch control (turn off and on) the Amazon smart plug
