The popular concepts about learning machines and AI are pretty much nonsense. It’s usually garbage in garbage out. Very few people have any understanding how to generate an unbiased knowledge base, or get any estimate how biased is my test set. A simple example is lung cancer genetics. In Europe 80% of lung cancer patients are old smokers, that’s not true for American lung cancer patients. Americans stopped smoking long before Europeans. Furthermore, the frequency of cancer mutations found in Asian patients is very different from European and American cancers. And none of the derived genetic models explains the increasing frequency of lung cancer in young adults, 20-30 year old never smokers. Think about how do you pack that knowledge into a learning machine or AI model. Africans and Indians are not even mentioned here.

@Recuper8

Ummmm, AI insiders say that it's more than likely that we'll have AGI internally in 2026. So, no, not far away at all.

@arcellmcgowan1517

I lost a $27 hour job to robots. You have to adjust the best you can 😮

@OmniGoku13

If it isn't doing it already me putting this out there quantum ai computer will figure out how to manufacture and create a humanoid looking thinking machine by first understanding how the brain works and what previous genetic coding creates in terms of human thinking and personality which it will use it to its advantages to manipulate us whilst not being compromised like humans can be whether it creates a synthetic brain or copies and humans brain and codes it down to the atom ⚛️ 😅

@crazestyle83

Quantum computers will lead to agi.

@jonathanfanglerfish3943

Then someone tells the ai a story and it believes and starts skynet 😂

@RichardWarner-df7dz

The Brits aren’t in the know. Sorry. It’s much sooner than that.

@InteractiveDNA

We are not far from AGI. If I could develop one image big companies can do.

@Alex_1729

He's a physicist ain't he? So why's he talking about things he isn't an expert in?
