Louder, for the kids in the back. Lol. We absolutely need to move to more pure static functions! Ideally they should acting upon immutable data. The reasons for defaulting to functional programming especially in enterprise code are just so compelling. Have you ever heard of Mark Seeman? He talks about the "pits of success" when things in the middle of all io are pure and static, and I agree with his conclusions here.
