Oh my, I almost cried when I heard your mom's reaction! she's awesome <3 That's a great outlook on life you have there, and I believe it too: everything is for the best! let's push through our fears and have an amazing 2025 ✨
excited for you this upcoming year kat :,) <3 the layoff sucks and sending hugs and love!
Your mom is OUR mom now. such a supportive mother.
I got tears in my eyes at your Moms reaction, such a blessing!! And also your sister and Mom both saying "Congratulations", because they can foresee that theres better things for you in the future and I also second that. You Got This!!!
Thank you for sharing this vulnerable part of your life, Kat! Not sure if you remember, but you taught the Branding elective at Cal and I was lucky enough to be one of your students! You seriously inspired me and so many others in that class, and continue to inspire even more people with all the content you've been making. If I remember one thing about you and your talents and work ethic, it's that you are so creatively powerful. You will get through this and it will get so much better for you. Your mom is right- you are SO. GOOD. Can't wait to see what you do next! <333
the phone call with your mom was so wholesome to watch. My parents also say, "It's a blessing in disguise." Definitely shaped my perseverance in life too.
Katrina, you're amazing! The way you channeled your feelings in this video is incredible. Chase your dreams – you've got this! We couldn't be prouder.
I’m so sorry you got laid off! Thank you for sharing this vulnerable moment with us. You have a great support system and you’re an amazing artist. I know you’ll absolutely kill it in 2025!
This is a blessing in disguise. You got this. Anytime you get forced out of your comfort zone you'll move forward and grow. Shout out to your mom for being so supportive. I know that had to feel awesome to get that reassurance from her.
Getting laid off is upsetting but this is also so exciting! You’re an incredible designer and can’t wait what you do next!!!
Omg your mom made me cry! As an artist who quit her job last May and was pretty freaked out, my mom was supportive and this just reminded me of that. Shoutout to the moms who support their artist babies. 😭
dude... your mom made me tear up. The absolute reassurance and certainty that you will be just fine gave me peace, and she's not even talking to me😂
I'm sorry to hear that, kat. You're the one that keep up my spirit to jump in to creative world. You're amazing!
laid off right now is a blessing in disguise. Hope you find better opportunities next in life. Mom's reaction definitely the supportive there
Omg your mom’s reaction made me cry! I miss my mom so much. ❤
no because your mom had the best reactions she blossoms in fully bealiving in you and your dreams ! an amazing support
I love how supportive your family was! I had a similar experience in my early 20s and getting laid off from my dream job was the worst but when I think back to it, it really redefined my goals and purpose in life. I definitely had the whole WHY ME?! breakdowns but it really pushed me to be more fearless and just try things I always wanted to try. This is just a little hurdle- and I know you'll get through it and find your next big thing!
i got lay off the same week that you did, all my friends are telling me that i have big things coming for me and im sure you also have, you're fantastic and an inspiration
moms are honestly the best. she’s so right, it may not seem like it, but this lay off was a blessing in disguise. i’m very excited to see what opportunities come to you/you create for yourself in the upcoming year 💕
