@MrSiriusAB

This is such a gem, so slept on...
I died laughing at the bathroom door sceneπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Shane Black was cooking with this one.
If you havent, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is a high recommendation....

@waynedenton4209

Couple of items: The bird on the cast was a gosling. The "For the birds" toast is made by Gosling and Crowe.

@zbennalley

The "and stuff" bit always gets me πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@StopReadingMyNameOrElse

One of the most underrated comedy movies of all time. Gosling's comedic timing is flawless.

@albertsmith9315

As an old guy, they got most everything right about the time period. I was in my prime in '77, and love period movies about the seventies.

@shainewhite2781

One of the funniest buddy cop action comedy movies ever made!
There were talks about a sequel but it was cancelled as the film only made $70 million dollars against a $50 million dollar budget.

@misterkite

I don't think I've ever laughed as hard as I did when they dumped the body onto the dinner party.

@donniehowattzer2759

"Oh God, He's Falling again?!?!? - That gave me a good laughing fit.

@tiger1chu

The body over the fence scene will forever crack me up πŸ˜‚

@maximillianosaben

Hysterical movie! It serves as a great sibling film to Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang (2005) from the same director (Shane Black) and starring Robert Downey Jr. and Val Kilmer. They are so very similar but each their own distinct personalities, though the prior I'd say is stronger, if just for structural reasons. (Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang was also quietly part of Downey's resurgence alongside Iron Man; and also why Downey enlisted Shane Black to direct Iron Man 3 - there is a very noteable similar feel between those two movies).

@neabby

The daughter is hilarious hahah

@jsbrads1

DNA shouldn't be a problem for another 20 years.

@tanimal3964

There's no sequel, but for another Gosling and Crowe skit you should see them presenting at the Oscars, they have the same dynamic as in this film.

@charlesbarnes6912

I love Ryan gosling's Abbot and Costello moment when he finds Sid dead πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

@GarrettHarlen

18:29: Sid is Robert Downey Jr.

@3monthbender

I remember seeing trailers for this, and I thought it looked hilarious from the point of seeing the clip where Healy grabbed the bartenders tie and slammed him on the bar. It was several years before I ever did see it, but it was even funnier than I'd hoped.

"why are you all wet?"
"I was in the pool."
"why were you in the pool?"
"I had to interview the mermaids."

@LordVolkov

Ryan Gosling getting injured in humerous ways is a surprisingly niche I didn't expect from him. Definitely check out The Fall Guy for more of this brand of Gosling.

For Gosling getting hurt in non-humerous ways - see his work with Nicholas Winding Refn (Drive, Only God Forgives)

@firedoc5

Since I had never been able to watch this movie all the way through, I was able to finish it with this reaction, thanx Jax. It had been a while since I did try to watch it and almost forgot how much action there is, and the dark humor is fantastic. Telling my age, they nailed the 70's vibe with the fashions and hairstyles to say the least. When the bullets started to fly around the Corvette, I almost got weak in the knees and had a panic attack. LOL

@AnthonyBly-r4t

The nice guy's is hilarious. It's written and directed by Shane Black. He wrote Lethal weapon. He also wrote and directed, Kiss kiss bang bang.
Starring Robert Downey Junior and Val Kilmer. It's brilliant. πŸ‘

@TheGoIsWin21

"Oh god, are you okay" Not for most of the movie he isn't, no πŸ˜‚
